@wodyo said in PC Vs Console is unfair:
@puck269 Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the irony.
@perfecshionist Nothing "has to be changed." This game was built with the intent to cross-platform. The majority of the xbox users who are complaining were going to complain regardless. So, call me a liar all you want to, but I've been beaten by enough xbox users in PvP (in this game) to know better.
Being beaten by an xbox player is completely irrelevant to the fact that you have an in game advantage as a PC player. Nobody is claiming that an XBOX player can never win. They are saying that the in game advantage is significant enough to have a disproportionally negative impact on the experience of Xbox players.
And Xbox players are the majority of the player base. IF you think that nothing has to be changed then you do not understand how important it is to the future of this game, the future of Rare, and the future of the Xbox platform that cross play as it is creating a tangible disadvantage in game for Xbox players - the MAJORITY of their players.
So why should and xbox player choose to continue to play this game instead of one of the hundreds of other multiplayer games where he is competing against other players on a equal platform basis.
So why should console gamers buy the next generation of Xbox if the future of the Xbox is cross platform gaming and they can expect to consistently face PC players with a clear in game advantage?
I can tell you as a PC player that I will not buy the next generation of Xbox. Why would I? Why would anyone?
I can just play the same games on a PC and enjoy an advantage over Xbox players.
And when I want to play a console I would choose a PlayStation so when I am playing a console I am on an equal platform footing with the other competitors in the game I am playing.
You are completely wrong to think "nothing needs to be changed". FORCED cross platform is the death knell of the future of the Xbox.
All that needs to be done is have a check box that makes cross platform optional. The game can handle it and it would keep the player base from leaving.
