  • Sea of cry babies!

  • @admiral-tweedle yes there's quite a few babies but also within the complaints are some really valid arguments on the game's shortcomings. You can always use the search function and type 'great game' or 'love' and get a forum that better suits the material you want to read

  • @king-brouille It's a continuous stream of salt. The more choices players are given in PvP, the more the losing side asks for control against their opponents.

  • @admiral-tweedle Humans are incredibly smart and naturally most of them gravitate towards tactics that work. I happen to like when people complain and the developers come in a tweak stats because the losing side is happy(initially anyway) and the winning side, while upset at first, will find the new 'best' tactic. Keeps it fresh. Cry babies are here to stay but so are winners... and losers.. and people that aren't babies. In regards to the salt, if game developers don't expect a heavy dose of salt, especially nowadays, I think they better find another way to make money

  • @king-brouille
Fairly sure EA didn’t see the say no to loot boxes in battlefront 2 coming....

  • @sun-g0d-ra Micro-transactions will begin rolling out immediately after the first content patch to pay for the developers that will be left behind to create future content.

  • @admiral-tweedle

do you have any legit sources for that info. or are you just guessing?

  • @spilt-puddin Here's a simple Google search for it.

  • @admiral-tweedle
    thanks!

  • I think most of the time people just haven't thought all the way through about what they are claiming. I'll try to form an example.

A new player might get killed on a sloop against a galleon and think it's not fair because the galleon has more cannons and more firepower. The galleon does have more firepower, this is true, but the sloop has some strengths the galleon does not; maneuverability being the most obvious.

This is a very crude example but I think before we chastise players for complaining about something being not fair we should just explain to them that perhaps they haven't thought about the issue from every angle.

  • This thread is kind of ironic now given your new thread about getting a key stolen from you by a galleon as a solo sloop. Is that one parody?

  • @sanssariph Read it more carefully and see. ;)

  • @xcalypt0x Maybe those "new players" should read this carefully.

  • @admiral-tweedle

    I love you xD

  • @admiral-tweedle Seriously the majority of people crying are no good at the game period and should stick to minecraft. Secondly you notice it's only hundreds of people on the forums crying and hundreds of thousands of players lol. Where are the tens of thousands of complaints? L**o the bad reviews on xbox haven't even hit 1000 bad reviews lol. So literally less then less than 1% are crying about it. XD and they think they are the majority XD.

  • @capnswayzjones said: "..So literally less then less than 1% are crying about it. XD and they think they are the majority XD."

And yet the devs say they are adjusting their development going forward in large part due to the (less than 1%) player feedback on the forums.

  • @admiral-tweedle Now that's something that is truly unfair.

  • @admiral-tweedle lol... nice post.

I just finally got my crew going, and sailed the galleon for the first time today. We sucked and got sunk and outpost killed, but you know what, I had a lot of fun, even losing. If you don't think about winning or losing and just having fun, it really doesn't matter if it's fair or not. If you have fun, that's all that matter. Sure, we had no treasure to lose, but there's always treasure to get even if you do lose it. Really enjoying this game now with a crew.

  • @buckshot-matt YES!! We got out booties kicked today and kicked some others but it was a lot of fun. As soon as we would take out a ship that began attacking us another came and attacked... then they attacked each other and naturally we kept going back for more.

  • Best. Post. Ever.

  • @admiral-tweedle I can't see it for some reason. what is it?

  • @admiral-tweedle said in It's not fair!:

@king-brouille It's a continuous stream of salt. The more choices players are given in PvP, the more the losing side asks for control against their opponents.

It's more that there is no reason to face the opponents while you're grinding your reps. You get absolutely nothing for killing their completely empty ship. To me, that is the only thing that needs to change - if there is a pay off to fighting off the pirates other than to 'keep your loot' the system would fix itself. Maybe you lose money if you have nothing in the hold worth 3-4k or something, so if you engage and lose you pay the people who you attacked. That's not even going to change the game too much just make it worth it and make a cost to going aggro.

  • @admiral-tweedle This post was not what I thought it was going to be, and I am so damn grateful.

  • @admiral-tweedle
    rare workin' on other games
sea o' thieves player Its nah fair
rare workin' on sea o' thieves
other game players Its nah fair

fair doesn't exist in player verses player ne'er has ne'er will its a group game get o'er it ye cant handle solo join a group it should 'ave 4 scallywag sloops sloops 'n galleons 'ave advantages 'n disadvantages but sloops die so easily cause o' lack o' crew I be a galleon player 'n no its nah unfair fer sloops t' get 4 th' game be capable t' be solo but ain't meant fer solo ye choose t' go in solo ye loot th' risk o' bein' scuttled by a 4 scallywag its nah hard t' find a crew so if ye cant handle solo find a crew 'n stop cryin' like a wee sprog

  • Rare is going to change the name soon to "Sea Of Injustice" XD

What are they supposed to do if that is the only feedback they are receiving? If only 1% (as someone claimed in here) is providing feedback, well, that is all you have. Think of anytime you here a news channel say "40% of people polled prefer brand"X"". Well, they may have polled a couple thousand out of the entire population. Its called statistics, and that is how it works. So, to answer your question, Yes, changes will be made based on the feedback of a very small minority of players. Make eloquent arguments against what you don't like, make changes yourself.

  • @touchdown1504 I was quoting someone else.

  • @admiral-tweedle That's fine. Statistics still stands. I see quite a few threads that refer to the whining minority. While pulling numbers out of thin air. If there were less threads of people flaming each other, shaming each other, pretending to be industry experts, and more threads with constructive criticism, sharing of thoughts and ideas, perhaps positive changes would float to the top. Of course you know this, you were a Pioneer after all...you remember when these forums had a lot less vitriol. Anyhow, just my two bits, and it may not be worth that.

  • Are another baby on the forums complainin' bout getting robbed of thar booty! Ye cowardly twelve year old! Go back to roblox

That's not true, actually. Their most recent update from Friday states that the Ship Captaincy and Pets content (micro-transactions) are on the back burner while they focus on more content.
