Fire!.....no I mean literally add fire to the game.

  • Just a thought but at the moment the only ways to sink ships is to use cannons and flood them and then board them and slow the progress at which they plug up the holes. Also bomb barrels help but why not add a fire mechanic for the ship where it starts off small but gets bigger to the point where seeing through the smoke becomes an issue. Its kind of like a giant cc move lol. Perhaps the sails could catch fire and you need to put them out before it gets out of control, It just adds another layer to the ship battles that I think would make them more interesting :)

  • @raphaeloh01 Indeed and another guy posted something similar that suggested using the lantern as a means to start a fire. That's a great idea that I cant take credit for but would love to see int he game.

    Another intresting thing i saw on another thread was:

    -damage to sails (with a precise shot to the mast) that might cause inability to change sails until repair
    -damage to rudder (with a precise shot rudder) wich might cause inability to steer until repair

  • @terron29 That's an interesting idea... I don't really use the torch, because I'm either fighting skeletons or finishing the quest. It'd be cool if wood piles were added to island beaches, or if you could throw your lantern onto another ship, but that would be a waste of a torch... unless you can get a new one from your ship.

  • @terron29 funnily there was a post from a former employee that said this game had a build where you could set fire to ships, mostly from bad cooking. Never understood why they removed it.

    There was also friendly fire but they removed it cause people kept killing each other when they found treasure.

  • Molotov cocktail, just fill bottles with grog from your ship and light it with the torches on your ship or your crewmates hand.

  • Oh wow yes the molotov! that would be perfect, gives another use for grog also I love that! Maybe only carry a max on one at a time per character, as otherwise it could be op lobbing them left and right.
