    Why should we have to learn Japanese? Additionally, why should we forgoes socializing with our friends over Xbox Live just to satisfy a single individual? Xbox Party Chat allows for clearer conversations without mic roll-off in audio due to distance.

    Some people don't want to use game chat. It's as simple as that. I'm sure everyone has their own reasons why, but it is by no means destroying the game.

    @bobbo1771 That is why my crew and I do dip into game chat when confronting another crew at first to see if they have mics. Otherwise we don't want them knowing our tactics we are discussing or possible negative statements.

    I use party chat so other pirates don't hear my strategy on how I'm going to sink them.
    Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction knows what language to speak. English. 😄

    I specifically avoid gamechat and exclusively use party chat at forts because I've no intention of revealing what my crew and I are doing, and I don't approach forts with the mentality that I'll be finishing the fort and walking away with anything less than everything.

    I don't clear forts to share. That's just me.

    I'd hardly call that cancerous.

    @bobbo1771 you can hear everyone on the server if you use in game chat and turn of directional voice chat and turn the volume down on everything else.

    Then you can hear everyone really faint.

    @bobbo1771 I'm one of those people who uses party chat and the reason is cause the quality doesn't sound good on game chat at all, and everyone else in my group will end up having different complaints, with regards to everyone being too quiet, or scratchy mics, and that's not a distance thing we've been close together and far apart the problems are still there

    thats not true.. for some weird reason me being on pc.. in taverns or shops i can faintly hear people talking in game chat.. if im ony a gallie and i go downstairs to select weapon i can hear people talking and make out the conversation
