This is another story of a sloop not being able to take down a Galleon.
We approached a skelly fort on a two man sloop and wanted to help the Galleon that was already there. As we arrived, we took down a couple of the watch towers and then the Galleon started firing at us.
So we decided to take on the parked galleon. We got to an angle where they couldn't get us and we unleashed about 15 cannonballs on a parked Galleon and it STILL WOULD NOT A SINK!! Half the crew weren't even on the ship to patch it up! They were in the sea, trying to get to our sloop.
What i did notice was that when we were landing direct hits, the "successful hit" chime wasn't sounding. Despite splinters flying everywhere. It was clear we were landing direct hits from close range. My ship mate managed to get on to the Galleon and saw loads of holes in it, however it wasn't sinking.
Was this a bug? Was it an example of PC hackers making their ship impenetrable? Either way, Galleons should be going down a lot easier to make the game more balanced. I've sunk a galleon a lot easier before. Something was not right.....!
Has anyone else experienced this?
