Has anybody else experienced this yet? I have had two treasure maps so far where there was absolutely no treasure at the position the X suggested. Not even close. Both times on beaches and I dug out every single spot in the area. Just not there.
Another time I had a riddle map which said the treasure would be x paces south by south-west while at the same time my German teammate's map said x paces south-west.
It's quite frustrating, TBH.
I have not experienced it. I've had trouble finding some treasures at times. I am normally dead on with finding them (lots of experience in alpha and beta). Occasionally it's just hard to tell.
I see you are also a founder. Not sure how much you've played, but it's certainly possible either you are in the wrong spot or it's a bug. You should take screenshots (and your friend should of his map being different) and submit a ticket via the support link.
