Is there any way to find your friends ingame other than being in same crew from the start?
2 of my mates were on a sloop last night and I hopped in game with a solo sloop. We did few attempts trying to locate each other in the game but never ended up in the same instance.
Is there any way to do this?

Since when you join it puts you into random servers, the chance of multiple people queing in an attempt to get into the same server at the same time are slim. Besides the fact once you join, you would have to figure out where to meet JUST to see if it was the same server. Lots of wasted time@clarionz I haven’t even ran into any enemies (pvp) after 3 hours it was just me out there. What am I missing?

No. That would allow for some serious griefing.
True.. larger group of .. let's say "mean players" could end up dominating a their server.

Maybe you played during the time where no new players could join? Meaning whenever somebody left your session, it got more empty. I experienced the same thing.

Oh I love quizzes, ok lemme guess, is it eyes?
can someone tell me that when you start up with your crew and then leave the game (say for dinner) and you get back on will it put you in a new server? will you still have all your stuff and upgraded boat? I spent hours last night trying to join my friend made it to the searching seas and just couldn't get in, anyone know why?

We were both on the searching seas screen together, I know you can't join a in-progress game. I wonder if it was server cap that wouldn't let us join into a server
