excessive outpost camping and griefing is definitiv a thing right now - we want non pvp lobbies or matchmaking
edit: its all about the campers, sure you can avoid outpost campers by searching for free outposts and by playing smart or just crush them 😁
some say pvp free lobbies will not be a thing , but some sort of ranking system to stuck all „bad“ , pvp minded pirates togheter on one server would be really apprecihated imo
@benjio-san Unfortunately its not really going to happen, PvP is a fundemental core component of the game. Without sounding harsh you just need to pay more attention to your surroundings.
Use the spyglass to scout before you dock, look for other ships or players mermaids in the water, and maybe send a crew member ahead to have a look around or escort the cargo.
@knifelife unfortunately you are not one of the devs, so how it comes that you know it would not be possible?? they want feedback. or do you know more then others? have you seen the nonexisting roadmap from SOT?
@benjio-san Have you not watched any of their youtube content where they explicitly say that it's a world of pirates doing things pirates do? It is a fundamental aspect of the game. Also outpost campers are easy to deal with. Unless you are on xbox and are getting 360 no scoped by the PC nerds and are salty about there not being auto aim.
I've never been compelled to say this in any game, but seriously, as they say "get good". There are more than enough tools in the game to avoid this. It's a core part of game design. Despite all the whiners this is not a farming simulator. If you want to be a cowardly pirate than learn to be a successful one. Scout, scout and scout some more. Its not that difficult to use your spyglass and think ahead a little bit. As I'm sure someone will tell you eventually, this is Sea of "THIEVES".
@benjio-san Ive watched the pod casts and developers updates where they have specifically said multiple times it not going to happen. Maybe research for yournself instead of biting peoples heads off for trying to offer advice. Sheeshh
I don't mind open pvp on non Outpost islands or in the open waters but Outpost should be places that are relatively safe where if you kill someone (outside of maybe a duel option) you get demotions, bounties and otherwise punished at Outpost maybe even make a pirate enforer merchant that you can spend your negative karma at so they you can shop and earn gold again I was killed multiple times because I was turning in chickens and then when I respawned they just killed me again so they could continue taking my bananas because I had nothing else.
There are teams of 14 day pass owners with esp,aimbot,noclip & too many to write littering the servers at outposts making youtube montages at the moment the hacks became available the day before launch and groups are being formed on the well known sites to ruin everyone's fun it's no surprise to be honest.

@lobofh I was the only one on the island than a ship pulled in while I had my chicken in hand from and out gunned me cleaned out my chickens than waited for me to respawn to take my bananas and boards
There is one thing i think they should add, that is when you enter the sea/land space of an outpost there should be no damage allowed PVP and chest stealing. But outsider of outposts everything is allowed, this would make it a little more bearable for for solo players or duos of people who like the game but are not really into PVP
@the-ginjerbeard Because if your opponents are better than you that's your only option. Why should the game baby you because you cant defeat said pirates?

I like this idea.
I'm sure u get this a lot but... it's a pirate game. Any and all booty stealing, snatching, and swiping tactics will be executed to get your hard earned treasure. its the skillful players job to learn how to avoid these dangers. that's what makes the game fun, ya gotta keep yer with about ye and outsmart ur opponent. I love it.
