I just logged back in after a few hours of playing, and all of a sudden all my gold is gone!!! My progress stayed, but the gold I acquired is gone (I had a few thousand). What's going on?

@monkeychow01 seems to be happening to alot of people:( a bit dissapointed as well. Im sure it will be sorted immediately.

@lady-aijou What if it doesn't magically appear? Do we just cut our losses? Spent a few hours gathering some money, took down a fort with all its loot. No gold. Restarted game and got 2000 (should have been around 15000+) and barely any XP towards anything. :/
Hopefully it will update eventually but it seems a waste to try to make money as is.
Just heads up, this is sort of a double edged sword for you guys. The bug with having to restart multiple times to get your loot is in place. But you're having issues with MANY folks hitting your login servers causing congestion. So if you don't fix the bug with the loot? Then your login servers are going to get slammed with those of us quitting and joining multiple times.
@lady-aijou I've had to apologise to lady pirates for pirating in my underwear, it's embarrasing for both parties :)
@Lady-Aijou - I am a little worried about that though. So I cut my losses and decided to do a quest. And it gave me (finally) the rewards for a single quest. So I think all my original hard work is gone :( Just a heads up to your devs.
@lady-aijou I have logged out and in several times. I played for about seven hours. The only thing I bought was a beard. I had almost 5000 gold and now nothing!

Yea they just took down new players joining the servers....but the bug still persists :(
Unfortunately if you had a bunch of stuff, and then logged out and back in, and kept going you lost all your original stuff from what I can tell. Which is a serious shame as I put a bunch of hours into it. Hopefully the stuff I JUST did doesn't disappear too. I'm hoping that them taking down the servers is to fix that problem and not to try to work on something different, as the item / progression bug is a game killer.
I wish I had your optimism @Locker - 3 hours later and mine didn't come back. But new stuff slowly started to work (and then stopped). Let's hope whatever they are doing to the servers now fixes this problem, because you can't really play the game with this bug.
@locker Yes m8, got everything back, I just had to log into the game 3-4 times.
Guys, don't worry, you'll get your Reputation, Gold and items. Be patient, all multiplayer games have issues on release.
@lady-aijou this was 7 days ago... this happened to me last night... why isn't this fixed? we decided to go all out and had at least 10k on our boat and still no gold...
