  • P.s i am signed in to live but the game says im not

  • still cant log in.anyone know how to fix it please

  • I got the same issue, this is present since the alpha state of the game. I hoped this was fixed by release but its not unfortunatly. The temporary fix is to use the inbuilt Administrator account of your Windows or make a new Local account and give it administrator priviledges. I still have no clue why this bug is happening, literally xbox live says no issues and being logged in it aswell.

thanks for the reply.well if it's a known bug i'm glad i did not shell out £50 to find that out! i'll cancel my gamepass if i can't use it as intended.was so looking forward to this game too :(

  • Well atleast you know now how to still enjoy the game while the devs are fixing this bug i hope.

  • @chuckienl Maybe running the game as Administrator (when signed into a user account) would help. Of course, since executables from UWP apps are tricky to access, you'd first have to claim full ownership of your installation folder (use your favorite search engine to find out how to do it) so you can set the compatibility options to run as Administrator.

  • @cave-waverider That doesn't work, even tried resetting windows store and xbox live and logout xbox live and log back in. Even the devs made FaQ in beta about it. The temporary solution was to either make new local account with administrator priviledge and play on that account, or use the inbuilt Administrator account and play on that.

thanks this worked for me but it was a a pain getting it to work right.so i have to now log in to another account to play my game.thanks again.they need to sort that out because there will be others who will never find this fix.

  • I found a new Temp/Permanent User side Fix.

Step 1. Backup all important files located in your microsoft user account folder(documents, videos, downloads etc).
Step 2. Login onto the local administrator account(make sure u are logged off completely from your microsoft account)
Step 3. Fully delete the microsoft account from your computer.(follow these steps on this site= https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-security/how-to-remove-microsoft-account-from-windows-10/dd602f84-dc5e-4519-93b5-d70ececae78f?auth=1)
Step 4. Make a new local account and give it administrator priviledges.
Step 5. Login onto the new local account and convert it into your microsoft account.(start from step 2 in this guide= https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-security-winpc/cannot-convert-local-user-account-to-microsoft/875be8e9-af10-401c-a3f7-e4ed765cd1f6)
Step 6. Install the game and u good to go(its already there so it should not download the whole game besides a few megs)

I was kinda frustrated and kept trying things and by doing this it fixed the issue and i can use it again.

  • I'm having the same exact issue. Was able to play fine the first week of release. Tried signing on March 31st after not playing for a few days and have had this problem since. I have other Xbox Live games I play on Windows 10 that work fine, only issue is with this game.
