Yup, exactly that. I was at Walmart today and sure enough they're already selling SoT. But why? I already have my copy pre ordered digitally on my Xbox so I obviously didnt buy it, but I thought it was interesting. Not sure what the point would be though considering the servers aren't even online yet.

i remember this happening a few years back with battlefield 3. I walked into my local Fred Meyer (that's a PNW local retailer similar to walmart) and saw a ton of copies of Bf3 on the counter about 3-4 days before release. Don't know if they were ringing them up yet.
thing is, with a game like this, technically they could sell physical copies right now, you still won't have access to the servers.
