Feel like this would be a no brainer. This was a great aspect of Assassins Creed and would make battles entertaining. Perhaps incorporating a slow down function to the ship that gets hit. For those who don't know, chain cannons are used to take down a sail on a ship that is in front of you.
These were popular during the Civil War and do have some historical significance.
