Possible Location of the Pirate Legend Hideout Entrance

  • I believe the Legend Pirate Hideout is a portal in between an arch located at M 14 or close to it, and need a special item to cause a portal to appear to get to Hideout. After 2 days of exploring the entire map in a grid shearch there where no islands with bays with waterfalls that could fit a galleon. But I notice throughout the map of arches and you could appear or disappear through the arches which in a in a sense a legend could do if an item turn them into portals. If you do not believe the portal theory then why is there a portal to get off the Ferry of the Dead. Also reason for portal theory is every npc in Hideout are ghosts. Also the arch location is nearly in the middle of the map and could get to rest of the map easily.

  • WAIT... you're saying the lovely woman who fills my tankard is actually a GHOST?!

No the legend captain hideout are ghost not regular overworld

  • Very interesting theory.

  • @sparten-link This could be quite possible actually. One of my crew members sent me a link to the forums showing a map of locations including easter egg locations. There was a marker right where you're talking about and when we explored it there was only the arch and a strange glowing (possibly nothing of importance) if you swam deep enough and drowned.

  • @spidermonkey484 that glow is actually where the Ferry of the Damned is located.

  • @lewanderous How would you know this? Are you dammed to sail souls to and from the land of the dead?

  • @spidermonkey484 Yes. Yes I am.

Also it was uncovered a while ago. If you swim low enough and use your spyglass, you can see the shape of the ship, lights and players. You can also speak with 'dead' players through proximity chat.

  • @lewanderous That's really cool. I did not know that. Thanks for sharing the info

  • @spidermonkey484 Thanks for that map link. I bookmarked that for future reference lol

  • @k7-issues No problem Matey. No need to keep information to myself we're all here for fun aren't we?

  • They said the hideout was a physical location in the world and that no one had found it in the beta or the scale tests. I’d like to believe it’s a secret entrance inside an island or something rather than a portal and they just haven’t updated the specific island yet to show it, so here’s my theory.

I had a look around the map too and only really found 2 (maybe 3) named candidates. Old Faithful Isle and Plunder Valley.

I actually found a wall around the edge of Old Faithful that allowed me to clip inside it and see it from underneath and I must say it’s certainly big enough for the hideout. There are two large stretches of wall on the edges of the island which could potentially be turned into entrances. Another pointer is the word search that appears in one of the videos. Someone pointed out the letters remaining (not included in the search) spell out NO LEMONS ATOLL. There’s also an island instead of a D in the word Pandora that looks like Blind Mans Lagoon. If the no lemons refers to Scurvy Isley, the atoll is Black Sand Atoll and Blind Mans Lagoon is also referenced, the island in the middle where these would cross is Old Faithful Isle. The only thing I’m not sure about with OF is that the vegetation in that biome is dark and the vegetation in the hideout cave is bright green as if it’s in the southern biome.

Which brings us to Plunder Valley. The obvious issue here is that PV has a great big valley in the middle of it and tunnels already underneath. There is potential for it being to the side of those and the foliage matches up. It even has waterfalls which are featured in the hideout.

I haven’t done much exploring of it but I also thought plunder outpost could hide it in that y’all spire though that would be pretty close to home and probably not secret for long though the location is pretty central.

Of course if my theory of the hideout being physically within a cave is correct, it could potentially be inside any of the huge random rocks in the ocean. A reason i think this might be possible is that it would really make it more hidden, as named islands would draw more attention.

I’ll certainly be doing a more in depth search across the seas when I next can.

  • There would have to be multiple? because there will be a time where a majority of people will be legends surely?

The ferry of the damned is a physical place which you can see it in the ocean with a spyglass (as others have said), but you can only get there by dying.

I like @Sparten-Link theory and I believe itll be the same for the legends tavern in the sense of itll be 'a way' to get to it/them, like the ferry of the damned

  • Interesting...Whatever it ends up being im interested in seeing how it works, particularly if its a known island, I can just imagine some bored trolls sitting outside and waiting if they know a legend ship is on the server. I hoped there would be some form of floating island until it was confirmed to already exist in game thus squashing that idea.

  • What if the way in is death?

The pirate hideout is full of ghosts, the legends of deceased pirates.

Could the secret hideout be the Legend’s alternative to the Ferry of the Damned?
