UNMARKED H-2: Nothing. You can swim below the boulders, but I didn´t find a way to swim inside something.

this looks like the legendary hideout entrancethat looks more like a Quest maybe? I've found one near a Reef that had a table alter on it as well

@daphonic I bet he asks for proof soon. He´s sure he found it and doesn´t want to believe else.
heh S/T 16 SE side of island's Reef, there is hole you can swim into.
My buddy and I were pretty sure it would be an underwater entrance and checked basically all the coral reefs and under water caves we know about. We agree looking for a waterfall is not the right method. more of a red herring. But we could not find it. I don't remember all the coordinats, but a couple were N10 and L14 that we checked
@anubis316 Probably, but since waterfalls were our biggest hint so far, checking them at first was logical. But yeah, right now there doesn´t seem to be a great chance on that to be the right thing to search for.
There's also this place in Thieves Haven :
We can see there is an entrance blocked by rocks (the wooden path to get there is broken). You can get there with a charge attack from the crow's nest but anyway it's blocked. :
Above there's a waterfall with a little pond but the water goes nowhere so maybe it goes into the island :
But I've no idea where the waterfall would be and how the boat would come out of it.
I quickly drew up my theory on why, despite all our combined searching we haven't located a suspicious door requiring a key or a waterfall!
My theory...
- WHAT IF: The "Waterfall" we've been searching for isn't visible from the outside of the island? If you look closely at the waterfall in the video & you'll see a lack of any kind of light behind the waterfall that would otherwise indicate an opening to the outside world.
- WHAT IF: The "Key" to get into the Legendary Hideout isn't a key at all?
- WHAT IF: The "Locked Door" to get into the Legendary Hideout isn't a door at all?
- WHAT IF: We obtain some kind of "Special Item" (Like a ghost lantern or instrument) once we reach Legendary Pirate status that will react to this secret door when used nearby, which will then in-turn cause the rock to slide open.
Basically I'm gonna put my theory to the test & start looking at big Stones with painted markings on them to see if I can find any sort of clue of something that might represent a legendary pirate.. I'll get back to you guys if I find anything of interest.
UPDATE: Plunder Valley is showing a lot of promise if my theory holds any water....
- Its a large island, with not too many caverns cut out of it.
- It's got a solid sheer-faced stone cliff touching the ocean water.
- There's a dense fog filled cave (Dense fog is often associated with ghosts in folklore) with a dead-end that has a painted rock... The art caught my attention.... Could this be artwork be representing ancient pirates worshiping a Legendary Pirate?
@malkuno Could all be, but must be possible with what we were given in the Beta. That would be changed for release of course, but the statement gives me the idea that we can get there by doing something with what we are given.

I´ve been to Old Faithful Isle... I think that could be a good spot. I wasn´t able to investigate further cause the game kicked me out again, but I´ll sure get back there again this evening.
Check R4 Mate. 😉

@malkuno They're the same symbols as this blocked entrance in Thieves Haven :
Ooooooo Interesting.. I'm gonna link a few more screenshots of the Plunder Valley location...
The painted stone at the deadend of the cave isn't completely flush with the wall & appears to have a very flat backside, could that mean its possible a passage is hidden behind it? Maybe..
I was curious so I took out my compass to see which direction I was facing & got some interesting results..
Now if you leave the cave & face in the same direction, you're greeted with this ginormous stone structure, why would this side of the island specifically have such a gigantic landmass.. (I faced NNE to show more of the gigantic structure while looking up.)
Are you able to get to the top of this island on foot? If not could I request that a crew launch themselves up there to investigate for me? I'm solo so I can't launch, unless there's a method of self launching I'm unaware of.EDIT: You can walk all the way to the top, however that brings me to another point... There aren't any caves on this side of the island (that I've found). Hmmm.. Interesting, that would means there is a lot extra space here..
EDIT2: Found a decently sized cave on the NW side of the island.. However, there is still plenty of room left for a hideout if there is one here.
So much ideas! I'm not sure if this could be useful, but the tavern maid is talking about her necklace and she always says "If you steal something from your voyages to decorate my ring I'll be very grateful" ( something like this) so it's maybe related to an hint of becoming a pirate legend or a gift?
I've never found little items I could give to her.Been there.
Done that.
Would NOT recommend lol.gif by me C:
@thor-von-blitz Yeah, that´s the main reason I said it could be Old Faithful. That cliff definitely could give access (or exit) to the Hideout. I´ll continue exploring the Island now, until Cyanbeard kicks me out of the game again ;D

@thor-von-blitz I didn´t. I just raised the sails, when Cyanbeard kicked me out again. Reinstalled the game and will try to get there again now :D
Could be proof that there is something, the game doesn´t want me to see ;)
EDIT: Not possible to join right now due to an expected issue. Gonna try again later on. -< https://www.seaofthieves.com/forum/topic/31640/scale-test-updates
Ahoy,
as i already shared in another thread, i found the ferry of the damned hidden under the sea, so i thought that maybe the legends tavern might be hidden the same way (both should be instanced zones right?).
If some of you want to try, i made a short video to show you how to do :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiQeK3_73Vs
So far i checked the plunder outpost, some rocks (J23, H21, I18, N21, the one on the video can be found on M13) and the unmarked island on L14.
See ye.
@micisd Possible, but I think the statement "It's seamlessly hidden in the world. It's not loading off a menu." indicates that it would be somewhere inside an island, cause the loading to get to the ferry isn´t seamless.
But yeah, it could be tho.
