Does Play Anywhere Apply to Pre-Load/Install?

Anyone know where to download the Beta on PC? Right now i'm a founder and pioneer so can play the Beta without pre ordering (on the xbox anyway) - so where do i get the download to try out SoT on my PC?

@x-shadowfixer-x It should have started to download already if you have preordered and it is available. You should receive a prompt about it, if not you should be able to find it in the store and install it.

Being a Founder member though you can use the old client that you had installed to take part in the alpha stages.

So, I havent pre ordered - as i dont need to to play in the beta (being a founder etc).

2. I dont have an old client as i currently play on the Xbox, and want to try the play anywhere on my PC..... so where can i get this client!

Yup - im just not sure if there is an insider hub that i should be looking for?

I've been waiting for the Play Anywhere because I got selected on the Xbox Alpha and... probably shouldn't have selected the 'either' option way back when. Really hoping I get a chance to download it on PC, ideally before the beta starts, without having to pre-order.

I mean, I'm buying it anyway, so worst case scenario it's not that bad, but I was hoping the Alpha-into-Beta thing would make this easy.

@katttruewalker I literally tried to install right before I made this post, and now I can... grinning like a d**k.

Try these instructions -

Press the Start key and open the Store
Search for and install the Xbox Insider Hub
Launch the Hub and you'll find Sea of Thieves waiting for you
Click the icon which will take you through to the Store page
Click install and the download will begin.

That being said - just downloaded the insider and cant see SoT in my insider app. <s*b>

I'm downing loading the pc version via the Microsoft store app if that's any help
