I preordered the game from this website just after christmas. Should I and will I get a closed beta invite? Where would I find it?

@ander-on-xbox25 If you preordered it through this website (the Microsoft Store) it will just show up 24 hours before the closed beta, there is nothing you have to do to redeem it.

@musicmee the thing is I've read a lot of people saying they've been invited. How do they know? Why do I not know?
@ander-on-xbox25 You should have received an email if you were invited automatically (for being an insider before December 1st), failing that you will need to preorder.
@ander-on-xbox25 Were you a Sea of Thieves Insider before December 1st? If so, you should have received an email stating you were invited. If you pre-ordered through the MS store, then the game will show up in your game library 24 hours before the beta.
@ionei-falcon ok I didn't have this before December 1st. So I shouldn't have an email until the day before. Got it thanks
@ander-on-xbox25 What store did you preorder from? If it was this site (the Microsoft Store) you will not receive an email, the game will just appear in your library.
@musicmee hey I was just wondering if I pre-ordered the game would it increase my odds of being invited to play the technical alpha? And also if I were to be invited to play would my friends be invited to play with me? I have a group of 4 friends and I couldn't imagine playing this game without them
@stiiiyoung Hey, this will probably not higher your chances of getting a pioneer. But I would guess that you are talking about two different servers, so also game clients. Don't know it yet :D
