Xbox, over the last week, has had consistent issues with causing games to have license identification errors, and worst of it has occurred during the last 6 hours of the event. This really puts a dent in my, and assuredly many others, plans. Many of us do not get much time to participate and this was a real... icing on the cake, so to say. I personally feel it would be to benefit to add an extra day or so as leeway. Yes, it's a selfish ask, but we are pirates, after all, aren't we?
Extend Gold & Glory due to Outage?
They wiped everyone's doubloons and now only offer a single weekend to earn them, reaper chests being the only other way. A friend of mine works long hours over the weekend, and isn't able to participate. On the Insiders forums, many posted the same issue, having real life responsibilities. We even asked if we could keep the voyages and do them on our own time. Their answer has been a resounding no. So I seriously doubt they're going to extend GnG over Xbox outtages.
@burnbacon I find the steam player count to be very unlikely to be the true number, considering how integral game pass is to those playing, but regardless the player count is most definitely agonizingly low, I agree,
