With the new update just around the corner on the 19th i noticed the hourglass 6 boats fight looked very familiar "OH THATS IT.... ARENA!"
I believe with Arena coming back .....cough i mean Hourglass 6 boats fights, instead of having to wait in a gloomy and depressing underwater submarine we should be given the option to chill in the HOT TUB in the arena tavern like old times.
Especially with the Arena Cosmetic they're giving us, it only seems fitting for this Adjustment.
@mr-nismox That was one of the problems with the Arena, players waiting for the battle to start and having nothing to do but share insults. No that would just mean to bring back the same toxic environment.

Ummmm if you're searching hourglass, and the "toxic environment" is also searching hourglass with the assumption that you're both using game chat - You're going into the same environment regardless.
also in my post it says "we should be given the option to chill in the HOT TUB in the arena tavern like old times." So if you're potentially sensitive to such environments or you're not using a private chat you have the ((((option)))) to be in the gloomy underwater instead.

If the choice is between toxicity and gloom, I guess the choice is obvious, no one wants to fuel toxicity so gloom it is. As for the rest, Arena is dead, make your peace with it!
They're already working on what the Arena will be used for, and it's not arena/hourglass.
@metal-ravage I will address that you're speaking on behalf of everyone on sea of thieves, I for one and a few others in my guild are against being stuck in a gloomy boring and an attempt to make me fall asleep in a loading queue lol. i will agree with you "Arena is dead" well it is dead because it's not in the game lol
One of the reasins areana died is boredom between rounds. As fewer people played the wait got longer and the feedback loop got worse.
This is unlikily to be as bad for the last ship standing, at least at the start.
One way around this, at least for duel sloops is to allow dueling or have an optional wait area for TDM.
