I've started playing Sea of Thieves again recently after a long break. Mostly enjoying it, but there's one extreme problem. Once I've been playing for an extended period of time, say, 1-2 hours, the game starts to perform worse and worse. At first, it begins with slight FPS drops, annoying, but playable. After about 30 mins of that, escalating input delay begins. Starts slight, until it's so bad that I press a key, and the input happens a full 2-3 seconds later, completely unplayable, and gets worse when enemies are nearby. For context, my current PC is not weak, I regularly play much more hardware intensive games at max settings, such as Elden Ring, Monster Hunter: Wilds, or Helldivers 2, all with zero problems. I suspected Thermal Throttling, but the PC doesn't seem any hotter than before, and the fans aren't any noisier. This is eerily simillar to a memory leak I experienced in a certain Minecraft modpack, where it started off fine, then got worse, and worse, and worse over time. Are there any known fixes for this?
