Cheating Measures

  • Why is there no in game measure to check if a player is moving faster than usual (teleporting), switching guns and shooting faster than possible and etc... Relying on the players to act like unpayed employees to manually reporting someone each time, which rarely works, and even if it does they can just make a new account and keep on cheating, what a waste of time

  • Better yet, why don't they warn players in the "Report a Player" option that they'll need video to back up whatever claims they make? You click it, submit the report, only to be told, "Oh, you need to send us video first."

  • This game can't even do text filtering and moderation, what makes you think they care about trying to make that feature work properly?

  • Do you happen to know if a cheat protection service that does exactly what you request?

Is there a game that actually has this? If so why don’t all games have this?

Yes. Valorant with its vanguard anticheat is highly effective.
In sea of thieves EAC only seems to increase launch time of the game.

  • @e3pos hey the ban waves thinned the seas out lol

  • I've pretty much resorted to always running Sea of Thieves with OBS and a 2 minute buffer now. Rare gets at least one report from me a week, specifically with suspicious hourglass games.
