At least to me, the newly added feature that allows us to buy additional profiles is useless, since I don't want to start over and lose all my progress. I certainly don't intend to spend any money on this.
However, I would like to be able to store multiple pirate appearances in the same profile to switch between. Reason being, I like my current pirate and don't want to lose it.
So by adding this feature, you would make me spend more money. You'd like earn more money, wouldn't you?

I mean, it could be neither of those reasons. Some people might be happy with their current pirate but also want a pirate of a different gender, body type, skin color, etc because they feel some of their cosmetics may look better on them and want to experiment with different looks.
Like I'm happy with my current buff male pirate but I'd love to be able to have a female pirate too while keeping all my cosmetics, because some cosmetics were simply designed with female pirates in mind. As it is right now, I have zero interest in pirate profiles because I am not going to spend countless hours regrinding for cosmetics I've already earned, and I'd wager most players feel the same.
@burnbacon That's not true though, the appearance potion exists to change how you look with no way to go back to your old appearance. People want to be able to have multiple bodies to dress in this game, which at its core is just pirate dress up, whether you want to admit it or not. I want to keep my pirate I've had since 2020 and also have a second pirate with a different body type who will look better in some clothing that my main won't look good in. I don't want to spend money to permanently lose my character to a randomiser.

Lets say you have a favorite T-Shirt.
Would you wear it every single day or would you like so switch with other t-shirts every now and then?
I like my current pirate just as much as i liked all the other pirates i had before.
I never wanted to loose them, but sometimes i just wanted another bodytype, so i had to make that sacrifice.
I would love to switch between all the good pirates i found over time, but sadly they're gone.
A feature that gives us multiple bodytypes on the same profile, would be a huge selling point for me and if you looked on twitter or YouTube comments under Pirate Profiles, you would find many people that agree with this.

No offense, but I think you didn't read my post. I have neither buyer's remorse nor made a mistake. I like my current pirate and wish to keep it, but I'd also like to be able to switch back and forth between additional appearances while retaining access to the items I unlocked.
Buying additional profiles is useless to me.

More players want the profiles to work the way you do than anyone ever wanting an expedited paid for alt system that you could already have for free. Pirate profiles are just making us pay for something we could already do for free. SoT is pirate dress up at its core, and anyone who doesn't agree just doesn't like the idea that they are playing with virtual dolls. The only things you unlock are cosmetics. Mostly clothes, and accessories. Your pirate is just a doll you are dressing up in pirate clothes to have pirate adventures with. Sometimes we want to play with a different doll, that's it. We want to put the same clothing we already have on our new doll. In the official discord server there is a channel called "Pirate Fashion", they constantly host "Style of Thieves" on social channels asking people to dress up based on different themes. All we want is a different doll to put the clothes we already have onto.
I wear the same shirt every single day. It isnt broken, its easy to clean and I can add stuff over it to change it up. No need to switch if shirt is good.

Ok. So here you dont want to Start Over or Lose progress, So you dont need to worry about buying a Profile.

Why? Your wanting to buy appearances and switch, Why? You buy a potion to change your pirate, not keep it. That silly.

Saying this would be a great feature to earn money is silly. Rare is a business sure, but they are gaming company and already have hundred ways to earn money from us. This feature would be a small %, not even valuable to the cause.

You using Troll wrong here, that would imply I'm trying to stir the pot when I am frankly speaking wont many dont tend to do, Point out the flaws or problems with Ideas. Since again, the kids never show there work.
You want multiple Potions, and Keep the Pirates you create. That is silly and wasteful. Think about the game and its Core.
You are the Pirare, players and NPC meet your pirate al the time. You switching appearances, changing your Gen, skin tone, age, etc because of reasons, Breaks the Story. Unless your a mage pirate who can shapeshift like a certain evil voodoo pirate.
You have 1 appearance, and that should stick with you. If you wanna change, go ahead. But you don't need to return to a look that you "deemed" unwanted or just spare parts at this point. Its horrible character design, story and such.
Frankly, everyone has buyers remorse and say they don't, dont be scared to admit you made a mistake when you last changed appearances.

Yeah, I noticed he posts in virtually every suggestion thread, arguing against every single suggestion while misconstruing what people write.
YES!! This is exactly what i've been begging for. I really love my pirate right now, and i do NOT want to earn all commendations again on a secondary pirate, i want the progress to be shared across all characters i would ever want. I would spend ancient coins in a heartbeat if this was how it worked.
@g-gianluk If pirate profiles allowed me to save another model with the clothes I already have unlocked, I legitimately would have 20 different pirates. I would already have bought too many. I would have so many, made for different characters. It would make role playing a viable play style again. I can't role play on a pirate with no cosmetics and I'm not going to take the time to do commendations again for a character I made for one joke. I'm not going to take the time to sell every ashen tome and 450 gold hoarder artefacts just so I can have one pair of gloves and a hat I like.
@potatosord I really hope that Rare understands that this is what we want, the only thing i've seen from the current pirate profiles is backlash, i have yet to see someone that likes it's current system because it's such a grind heavy game. I would have bought a dozen pirates by this point and alot of other players would aswell.
@crowswave When I say I would have 20 pirates I'm not kidding. I would have 20 pirate characters to play as. There are so many ideas I have for characters but I am NOT going to change my model with a pirate appearance potion and I am not going to use the current pirate profile system because there are cosmetics I would like to use from previous seasons and events that I cannot unlock again.
