There seems to be so much 'bloat' in the Sea of Thieves world now. I'd love to see it tidied up a bit.
My suggestion would be to remove the fireworks and bait from standard barrels on islands and outposts. They should only be obtainable by buying firework crates and bait crates. Additionally bait can be obtained the old fashioned way - by digging in specific areas.
I feel this would help clean up the supplies scattered around the map.
Anyone agree?
@loch1907 yeah my hg main crate is screaming for this (why is there more bait than food half the time)
@rocksinclair Bait, flares, fireworks. Do a supply run around an outpost and half your storage crate is loaded with that stuff.
Maybe, I would like to see a quailty of life addtion where you can turn off certain items from the storage crate. Turn off fruit, fireworks, bait etc
Pro tip. Preload your crate. I put chain, blunders, cannon and pinaple in it and the last thing is woodas a buffer. Then every 5 or so barrels check the crate. If its filling up store the contents in the last barrel. You will get a feel for how long it takes to unload before you hit the wood buffer. Or work in pairs. One of you runs along with the preloaded crate, getting 100% of the chain etc. The second follows behind, if thry get a open prompt they know a curse ball could be there.
Or you could just check your crate more often? I like the bait and fireworks in island barrels. Fireworks are fun and the RNG of which fireworks I'll find is always a blast. I feel like what you're asking addresses one part of an issue without addressing the real issue. We need to be able to manually sort storage crates. We need to be able to make and move partial stacks, we need to be able to split stacks into slots and choose where each item goes. I want cannonballs in the top left of my crate only, but unless I take the time to move stuff with only a cannonball crate and only a fruit crate (which leaves issues with sorting meat) I get really shafted on having my items sorted. If we could sort storage crates it would make it a lot easier.
Didnt you hear? Every time people request they remove bait and fireworks from barrels, they send drew stevens him self onto every server with a single crate and he has to manually collect it all? How insinsitive to drew!
I never had issue stopping for a second with a crate to dump fireworks and worms after a few barrels, and leaving those items in outpost barrels isnt bad since fishing is something people like to do a lot. As for fireworks, I keep all special ones I find.
