Hey everyone! Just wanted to place my thoughts on the feature of having multiple pirates under the same account. (Cant remember where it was mentioned)
Ive waited years for this feature to be able to play as other pirates i have in mind, but IMO Rare messed it up.

1. Kinda lame we have to pay for having more pirates, ive played greedy F2P mobile RPG's who let you have for free multiple characters...
   While i understand its probably because will contradict the Apearance potion, its still kinda lame.

2. Even worse you wont have shared bank and cosmetics (other then the Pirate Emporium stuff).
   Why though?? Players wanting to start fresh are a smaller nieche then players who wants to change things a bit without losing their main character.
   Splitting my efforts in a game that literally takes years to achieve all commendations...
   Why not respecting our time?
   If we go that route at least give us the option to choose between shared items or fresh, great feature is being wasted for nothing.

What do you all think?

My guess is that a game based purely on cosmetics can be a challenging environment to make money in. I actually have guilt sometimes because I don’t buy things very often. I’d like to, but I’m just not usually into the things on the emporium. I have purchased some ancient coins a couple times, and I did pay to change my appearance once… and maybe ship name if I remember correctly.

Anyway, I think they need all the money making tools they can get. Since “more pirates” and their appearances is in line with cosmetics, I’d say it’s fair game.

@capt-greldik don’t feel guilty for not buying things. All this game does is try to get money out of players. It’s why all they do is update the pirate emporium and never patch bugs or improve gameplay.

Without them making money, we don’t have a game. I’ve gotten way more than my moneys worth.

Disagreeing is ok, but adding a reason is even better.
Cant see how this improvment hurts anything.
As i said, players who wants to start fresh are a smaller nieche to players who want to spice their look

They gave people what was requested in the worst possible way. No disagreement. Just typical rare.

I'm talking about the multiple character slots on one account announcement.

Like you said, it could have been better.
