Greetings ya filthy swabbies,
I'm at the point where I'm ready to rage out at SoT on my PC.
I recently bought the steam version and haven't been able to get it to work. Initally I was getting Cyanbeard errors .... but since going through all the troubleshooting that I can find I'm now being greated by Lavanderbeards!!!
I know SoT will work on this computer because I've played it before via GamePass and the X-Box app .... but the steam copy just seems busted.
So far I've
- reset router
- checked router settings.
- uninstalled, rebooted & reinstalled
- Network reset & rebooted
- removed the XBL credential
- Turned the Windows Firewall off
- Windows Firewall settings reset & rebooted
- Manually added both the EAC bootstrapper and main executable to the windows firewall
- Manually started the Windows Xbox Live services (Auth, Game & Networking)
- In pure desperation - turned off all my anti-virus / anti-malware software
and last and most infuratingly of all .... SoT is the ONLY piece of software on my computer that requires an online service and won't play nice.
If anyone has any ideas .... HELP!!
