Big thanks to Rare for cosmetics and this weekend's events

    Appreciate very much the effort Rare puts into SoT to keep it fun, fair and exciting. I also greatly appreciate them holding events for longer durations (7 days!) for fight nights, drops and chance at winning cosmetics. Busy Adults like me don't always have time to devote to games.

    I'm sure some players will complain about what Rare didn't do (It's easy to criticize), but remember, Rare doesn't have to give us more cosmetics and weekend events. Let's count our blessings and show Rare appreciation for the effort they DO put into this community and game.

    I appreciate that they made it 1 week long, instead of the usual weekend-only duration.

    Due to work schedules, some of my friends can only play weekdays. Glad they can finally participate in events.

    @gunnner1 Definitely a fan of the longer events with limited time rewards.

    I will say that the cross region match making has left a sour taste in my mouth during this event though. I haven't taken full advantage of the event because every time I get on I get queued into non-native servers, with ping pushing 200+, and seem to find every cheater on all surrounding stamps because I have a high win rate. I'd imagine the cheater thing isn't horrible for all players but damn has it been bad for my friends and I since cross region was added. Wish we could turn that off and just accept longer queue times.

    I agree that offering more time for certain events is good. However, I don't agree that RARE is obliged to do so.
    So yes, in a way Rare is obliged to offer these types of events to create player engagement ;)
    And in any case, time-limited events (of varying lengths depending on the event) have always been part of Sea of Thieves' DNA, whether some like it or not.

    I’m also busy with work and with my family
    I love the 7 days boost, I hope they do it more often
