  • Considering you didn't mention anything about reporting them yourself, IF you did know about them cheating, yeah I hope you do get banned. You shouldn't tolerate cheaters even when they're on your team.

  • Not necessarily. Did the other crew say what your crewmate was actually doing? Some people hackusate anyone who can hit shots.

Report his teammate with what proof? Because the other team said so?

A report based on hearsay is not how it should be submitted. Ever.

  • @captain-fob4141 literally left the game right after but ight💀

  • I’m confused here.

So as long someone says “I’m reporting your cheating crewmate” that means they were really cheating? Did your crewmate admit to it as well?

Two ways of looking and all depends on the Dev.
They will see you as an innocent player who didn’t know.
Or punish you as well just because “part of the crew” much like how if you were in a car and the driver killed someone. You be held accountable :/

  • Hey I dealt with a lot of cheaters in Hourglass and having played in competitive scenes where some players turned out to be cheaters.
There's a high chance you WON'T Be banned for playing with a cheater, as far as i'm aware you can't be banned for simply being associated with a cheater, or a lot more high profile players including SoT partners would be out right banned for playing with cheaters in the past.

That being said the chances are never 0% with RARE. They sometimes do some very questionable things that get innocent players perma banned.
Such as the ThaFakeNews Discord incident that saw a lot of innocent players banned. But those are really isolated cases that you really shouldn't have to worry about.

If you find out your crew mate cheats, it's best to just leave them to not risk your account being banned.
I have played with cheaters here and there and have never been banned, well partly because they are good at hiding the fact that they are cheating and are not using blatant cheats such as teleporting/fly hacks...

Partners getting banned? Don’t make me laugh!

  • ditch the cheater, they shouldn't be tolerated

  • I'll answer as if it's confirmed they are a cheater. One or two play sessions where you innocently didn't know won't get you banned. Continue though and you may get enough reports against you for it to trigger the ban hammer. Best thing you can do is just don't play with them if you know they are cheating.

  • @FreakazoidALB are you implying that you support and endorse cheaters then?

  • @miller4x8481

    Not if you're a partner....

  • @captain-fob4141 How did you parse that from what I posted? I'd just love to know.

I'll let you into a secret, I've reported several cheaters that have appeared in my game. You know what I did? I got proof of them teleporting out of my cannons, I simply didn't take somebody's word for it because they lost a fight.

Wanting proof is not "support" or a way to "endorse" cheaters. It's making sure the process is fair and the right people are removed from the game because hackusations are a very real thing in games. If you can't understand that then I'm so happy you don't work for Rare support.
