Seasons XII & XIII in Safer Seas

    Ahoy mateys,
    Today I would like to talk with ye about Seasons XII & XIII in Safer Seas.
    As ye all know, Safer Seas were added during the Season X, the Mega Season, the First Mega Season of Sea of Thieves. This Mode allowed New Pirates to learn the Ropes and Rules of the Sea & Enjoy their Adventures at their Own Pace. It also allowed to fish and do Tall Tales at Peace.
    In Seasons XII & XIII we will recieve a great variety of Features, which would change the Seas forever. With Season XII we will recieve lots of CORE Features, which can be easily implemented in both Adventure Modes, but with Season XIII, we will recieve a New World Event and New Changes to the World and thats were the questions arise. Will The Burning Blade Sail the Safer Seas? If aye, are we allowed to crew the ship or just defeat it? Will the Skeletons do their excavations in Safer Seas? Are we able to explore thier camps and uncover the secrets, which are lost to the sands of time?

    I would guess that since the Burning Blade is designed as a player driven world event, and that there are no other crews in Safer Seas to contest it, that it won't be available. It kind of falls under the rulings made for special events like Fort of the Damned and Fort/Fleet of Fortune which are expected to have players battling it out over the rewards.

    Highly unlikely.

    Are we allowed to crew the ship or just defeat it?

    Watch the preview event, it confirmed both.

    Will the Skeletons do their excavations in Safer Seas?

    No idea, we’ll find out towards the end of the year. Would seem unlikely if the burning blade doesn’t come to Safer Seas.

    Are we able to explore thier camps and uncover the secrets, which are lost to the sands of time?

    Now that it is season 13 can we get the burning blade in safer seas

    The Burning Blade is only available in High Seas currently as they wanted it to be a highly contested event and it has the Chest of Fortune, which is meant to be High Seas only.

    But even more important... Reaper is not allowed on Safer Seas and so the event wouldn't function properly on Safer Seas as it raises a Reaper emissary when claimed by a crew and can only be turned in to the Reaper faction.
