  • You know you can collect them too right?

  • I'm against win condition catering in general but as someone that did all the bonecaller comms solo and organically I find it difficult to believe that there are many of them floating around hg. Not only because of scarcity but because most people still have comms to work on as well.

  • Why? What is the problem with them?
Heck if you want to remove something, Remove the Scatter, Blunder, Fire, & Chainshot stuff. Just make it straight up, Cannon balls only

  • Bonecallers are extremely broken on solo sloop and duo sloop.

They're pretty much as OP as some of the better curse cannonballs when it comes to sloop fights, except you can find them pretty commonly.
They're not that much of a problem on other ship types if I'm being honest.

They definitely should be made more scarce and probably rebalanced as well.

  • Removing things from hourglass would be nearly impossible the diving systems would ultimately have to delete items from players inventory. I can see this causing issues and they would have to make sure only the hourglass dive did that since voyage dives are copy and pasted from the hourglass dive system.

  • @gotszu considering the commendation to shoot 250 at skeleton ships exist making them more rare would be an issue limiting how many can be on different ship types would be nore effective

  • @gotszu they're only OP if you don't use a sword.

  • Its funny to me that i have no issue clearing the skeletons and i know that is due to me wielding my sword.

It seems to me that alot (not saying all) of players are having issues with them because they run double gun.

  • @captain-fob4141

If you have to use a specific weapon set-up to deal with something, it's most likely broken or centralizing in the meta at the very least.

  • Ahh yes.. the usual "i dont like this, so remove it" post.
Yet you give No reason as to why they should be removed.. which they most certainly should not.

I dislike double gunners.. but i do not ask for the option to be removed.
Double gunners give up the sword and all its advantages for that extra gun.
It balances out.. thou in different situations one will have an advantage over another.

Hour-Glass IS FAIR.. this argument is tiresome..
Its 100% fair in the way that you too, have an option to collect supplies prior to Hour-glassing up.
If you choose not to, that's your choice. But, preparation is key to victory.
Pirates may choose to use their time to supp-up specifically to get a leg up on their opponent.
    Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

If you choose NOT to gather supplies prior to a battle, your fault.. why complain when you can just ..gather supplies.
Hourglass is fine the way it is..
    GG

  • @gotszu considering the number of people pushing blunder bus for anti boarding... no I don't think so.

  • @captain-fob4141

You can defend a board with pistol+snipe, sword, blunderbombs, any gun+sword although I will agree blunderbuss is extremely convenient and by far the best at it.

You can't deal with a boarder and a bonecaller unless you have a sword really, especially solo.

  • @gotszu defending with non blunderbus weapons is as easy and as consistent as dealing with bonecallers with non sword weapons.

    Not impossible, not optimal.

Not everything needs to be EASY to deal with, especially with it being as rare as it is to find. Bonecallers are the first item added that directly benefits swordplay and indirectly aids naval heavy players, as opposed to board heavy players. I would honestly be happy if the skeletons were buffed, but that's just me.

  • @gotszu double gunning can't be the best at everything it needs to have weaknesses at some point... there's no need to make changes to cater to one playstyle.

  • It's funny to see double gunners complaining about bone callers. I guess now they know something about what it feels like to use a cutlass vs. double gunning.

Bonecallers are too scarce for this to be a problem and dgers should look in the mirror and eat their indirect nerf.
