Stuck on login Steam Deck

Gald to know its not just me im having the exact same issue, yesterday it was perfect today its just Cyanbread errors and crashing as soon as i hit play.

This is confirmed by many people and getting widespread. This is from the latest update I believe, although perhaps its related to EAC update and my login info was just cached. But its a Steam deck / Sea of Thieves specific issue.
Issue: Cyan beard on login from Steam Deck. On logout, no option to login / game freezes on login step.
Attempted: Everything possible. Proton cache clear, different proton versions, full re-install, desktop mode, etc. Nothing works. In Desktop Mode, if you let it sit for a loooong time, the login window does eventually appear but only as a white window with no contents.

Having the same problem on Steam Deck - was working fine a few days ago ... now broken and cannot boot game - please fix it immediately.. thank you

I also came across this, the game takes a long time to load, and then freezes when logging in. Please fix it.

Same issue- started today. Assumed cyanbeard was from a connection to Xbox. Tried a fresh install, now I'm stuck on a black screen with a loading wheel in the bottom right.

It's my daughter's gamefile on the steamdeck(I play on Xbox which is working fine) and we've been grinding together trying to get to Pirate Lord. Hit that milestone this week and I promised her some ancient coins to celebrate. Bought them on Wednesday, but when she logged on to spend them tonight, she got the cyanbeard error over and over. Really bummed out, we've been looking forward to playing all week and it really ruined the culmination of grinding season 11.

My nephew has been playing with me all week and all of a sudden cyanbeard errors all night this needs to be fixed now man

To be completely fair Steam did release a patch for SteamOS today i dont think its SOT that broke everything it was most likely Steam.

Same here was everything good yesterday. Today it just getting stuck in lunch screen when I press play game

I have the same problem I purchased the game just a couple of day ago played before yesterday and yesterday I retried to play it and was getting that error I tried verifying game file changing multiple version of proton and proton ge multiple times still nothing so I tried deconnecting and now I can't even reconnect it freeze after each time I click play I tried reinstall yesterday all day and found yesterday evening that it didn't fix it I tried to fix all night till right now I found this thread

I hope they fix this soon for us Deck players.

I’m having the same issue and put a ticket in with steam. Hopefully they get it resolved.

Yep same issue here, used to work fine now it crashes completely hopefully they fix it 😕

Just an update, im in the sea of thieves discord and they are aware of it so hopefully itl be working again soon :)

I encountered the same problem, cyanbeard decided to reinstall the game and it ended up freezing when I press play and there is no xbox login window. I even tried a factory reset and it didn't help. I see they wrote above that they are already figuring out what’s going on, I hope they will fix it.

Annoying we can't play the game but glad the issue wasn't just me so hopefully they can resolve soon. Playing fine till yesterday now the game won't load. I was going to play with my son as he's just bought it on PS5 so really frustrating as it bank holiday weekend here in the UK so it was ideal pirating time!

Been trying for like 3 hours straight ..i thought the issue is from my connection or my steam deck till i found this thread! It really sucks guys ruined my weekend sailing ..please fix

Omg im so happy i just found this page. Ive been stuck with cyanbeard sinse yesterday too trying to find fixes on google, i was starting to worry it was just a me problem 🥹 hopefully they get to the bottom of it soon.
