  • @jamiekirky Ahoy matey!

I don't suppose you are using Game Share are you?

Might want to check out this article below.

  • Not really a game sharing issue but somewhat related.

This has been happening to me since season 11. I just saw this thread and figured it out. Here's some feedback in case anyone needs help with this issue.

Both my wife and I were signed into my xbox.
The xbox was NOT my home xbox.
I own the game and also have gamepass ultimate.
My wife does NOT own the game and does NOT have game pass ultimate.
I was trying to start the game as my account and was getting LavenderBeard errors.
Once I signed my wife's account out the game started normally.

Just for those that may not know, the game should start if the licensed owner (me) is starting the game regardless if I'm on my home xbox. As long as I am signed into my account the game should start, regardless if anyone else signed into the console has the license or not.

Anyway, if you have this problem, sign out any other accounts that are also signed in and it should let you play.

  • @jamiekirky ya the season 11 update broke the game share for the xbox ecosystem
