I think that it would be incredible if you could raise emissary for Hunter’s Call. This would only be effective if you had some quests that you could do. I would love to see bounty style quests similar to the OoS bounty skulls where you could find more difficult wildlife to find and kill. Like a boar which would be a pig but 2-3 times bigger with tusks. You could have to find and kill giant chickens, snakes, and sharks. The higher tier quests could involve a way to summon a megalodon and maybe the quest would install a platform on your boat(Brig or Galleon) which you could haul the body of the meg onto and sell for large amount of gold. You could just carry the boar, chicken, or snake just as you would for a treasure item. Any thoughts, suggestions, or comments?
Hunter’s Call Emissary and Voyages
Way I see HC adding voyages down the road.
- They bring back the Event voyages we got for fishing. It was simple and easy.
- Hunt for Megs. Easy to do just send players slightly off the map (similar to where Coral Fortress is) say like you get Instructions to go to, A7 & play the Meg song. Random meg appears and it "bigger' and more aggressive than one you meet randomly. It would also drop two new items, Teeth & Eyeball.
- Could also introduce new "legend" or Myth Fish which similar to how the voyages work. Go to a location marked on map, use certain bait and...Fish for them. Maybe you need special bait that you only get during the voyage & you got 1 shot. They are fighters too.
@burnbacon, I never played during the event voyages. I had been taking a long break from sea of thieves. What were those like?
@foambreaker, any particular reasoning? I was thinking with Merrick having been a big part of the Hunter’s call that it might be neat to have a voyage where you track down a specific meg such as the one that bit Merrick’s leg.(My SoT lore is a little rusty. Correct me if anything I said here is wrong)
