Make Athena voyage better

  • Let it be like the gilded one as in all skulls be villainious and every chest a captain's chest so its worthwhile and is a reward for reaching Pirate Legend

I assume you mean Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune (or Skull of Ancient Fortune). Finding only a few of Ancient Fortune items during an Athena voyage is very disheartening.

  • There is a tendency to make older content redundant. Veil voyages mean old athenas and thieves haven runs are pointless

Except when the crew doesn't want to have a glowing indicator when they're doing the 2nd part of the Veil Voyage.

  • @lem0n-curry I mean the normal ones while making the athena skull still rare so than its like all companies in ONE which would make more sense. Same goes for digging up captain's chest you get a chance for cursed chest aswell

  • @lem0n-curry It would make sense to be like that on what I said on my previous reply to you and the Legend of the Veil could be something similar to the vault, ghost fleet or lost shipment voyage but for Athena. Would be nice if they did it like this

  • For the time it takes for the amount of Athena loot you get it doesn't feel worth it now. It's fairly low risk now but it should still be buffed slightly. More Athena loot would help instead of digging up mermaid gems and Marauders chests. Just enough Athena items to get you to emissary grade 5 by the end of it.

  • Athenas voyage imo is better to level up Hunters Call than Athena itself.

You are guaranteed to get a few blue gems from the dig spots, but you are not guaranteed to get any Athena items at all, usually you get the Athena crates at best. So if you just stick to the dig maps, cancel and put a new quest in and kill any skelly ships/mermaids/collect random loot - you can acquire about 10 gems per hour or so. (This is how I got my last few levels to reach 50)

  • @lem0n-curry third, but then pre veil anyone with athena flag up was between Crooks hollow and thieves haven, over by devil's ridge or out in the roar so somewhat even more predictable. You can control if and when you trigger tornado and whether you actually go over and activate it, can cancel it if needed not a difficult speedrun.

  • @zig-zag-ltu Thanks for the heads up on that, I love to level it up through fishing because I love to stack fish lol.

  • @a10dr4651 Hope Rare see this post and makes it better because my friend said it gets better but when I became pirate legend I was like "Wow, it isn't even better"

  • I disagree with your post. I actually don't even understand your post. Aren't all the chess captains and skulls villanous? I admit I haven't done a normal useless athena voyage in years. That's kind of the problem though... The loot should be athena loot. Athena skulls, Athena trinkets, etc. Those were only made obtainable in Thieves haven runs which mostly gave you useless gems. They were later added to fort of fortune when that was put into the game. Having the thieves haven legendary items as part of the old athena voyages might make it more worth while. Basically LoTV is the only thing worth doing since it's the only way to get the new loot as well as the loot being more valuable and the voyage being so fast. Not to mention you have to do 100 legend of the veils.

I actually think the gilded athena needs to be reworked... Actually all the gilded voyages should give devils roar loot even if it takes place in the west part of the map. Gilded voyages are supposed to be the highest value voyages but they have kinda turned into a joke.

Athena voyages used to give foul skulls and castaway chests until they actually made loot scale with voyage level.

  • Sure, why not? It's interesting to see such small yet important changes. I am looking forward for it.
