I found the responsible for the crash, its "precision boost overdrive" on bios and disabled it, now i can play on Mythical in all graphics except particles and model texture.
Follow these instructions:
-
Overclock in the bios that is involved iGPU:
gpu boost set on manual
precision boost overdrive set on disabled
-
Disable all amd app settings and boost that are bound to SoT.
3.AMD app crash warning:
msconfig / services / find the "AMD Crash Defender Service", disable and apply, restart your system.
4.Check that the processor temperature does not exceed 75°C.
- Windows + R / %LOCALAPPDATA%
athena/saved/config/windowsclient/GameUserSettings.ini
or
packages\Microsoft.SeaofThieves_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Athena\Saved\Config
and look for SmoothFPS and set it to false (no capital letter in the F).
If FPS drops alot or crash happens again, keep decrease these settings:
ModelTexture: CURSED
Particle Effect Quality: cursed
Partique Resolution: cursed
I'll explain why the "Model Texture" and "precision boost overdrive" is responsible for the crash.
This configuration causes each rain particle to be shaped for the best image quality, this is a bomb for virtual memory, and thus ends up forcing the AMD system to activate security to avoid damaging the cpu by "precision boost overdrive", it's weird how the particle optimization of this game was done.
Precision boost overdrive allows processor to run beyond defined vallues for PPT,VDD_CPU EDC, VDD_CPU TDC, VDD_SOC EDC, VDD_SOC TDC to the limits of the board, and allow it to boost high voltages for longer durations than default operation.
If there is another apu / gpu that is crashing, i will be trying to fix it.
I made a video playing in the storm entering the 3 layers of storm, All graphics on Mythical.
