What is the allegiance boost? It just says ‘a generous amount’. Like… double? Triple? It doesn’t say. Anyone know?

since it's separated from the rest without specifics I dunno if I'd bet on double
maybe 1.5x but I dunno, just a guess

10x multiplier please. Mitigate the insanity of level 1000! If only…
Imo they don't need universal allegiance boosting for the health of the content they need to make a fight rewarding in different ways so it appeals in different ways
When it first came out I suggested things like fight deeds and I still think that's where they should try to boost interest. Not things based on wins but things based on participation beyond wins/losses or loss farming etc.
using emissary flags
hitting with cannonballs
repairing mast
repairing wheel
repairing anchor
one ball kills
damage taken before sinkingall these different ways to incentivize participation
That's where the design of seasonal rewards succeeds, it rewards activity, effort and time but doesn't bind it to difficult or unpleasant play
Great response - it’s posts like this that make the forms worthwhile. Constructive feedback for the win.
This is a horrible idea, it'd have the same product as "challenges" in any FPS game
it encourages wonky play rather then actual serious play, basically the same thing as arenas cannonball farming
Fights should be straight fights to the death and nothing else

Most of what I posted are defense based incentives which encourage participation without controlling fights
Repairing ship parts doesn't change combat it incentivizes participation beyond loss farming
One balls are an incentive without significantly changing combat. Skilled players are already aiming for these and inexperienced players still have a chance of these in fights where they have the same size crews and ships.
1v1 fights are different than chaotic multi ship battles. Random 1v1 matchups cut down on cheesing and they addresses alliances.
Repairing bonuses can be quite helpful in a situation where 1 of the 2 fighters/crews is/are discouraged by a system that has yet to serve them as inexperienced fighters.
What I suggested directly aims to cater to players that are struggling with losses and slow leveling, the content needs participation and interest, it needs inexperienced fighters to not be discouraged out of participation,
and what I suggested doesn't harm skilled players or players that are already well on their way to 1k
It would be changes that offer support for 1-100, that's what the content really needs right now, people to want to shoot for 100 and for people to not feel defeated the entire way there.
Yeah so I stuck a toe into pvp. Pre CD, I got like 1/4 a level (2). Activate CD boost. I get half a level (2.75 to 3.25ish?), then another loss.. I think to the same player but definitely more aggressive this time lol. Only got a quarter a level. Anywho. Dunno if it's working right. Spinal is the superior skeleton.
(Ugh... I feel so dirty...)
