While participating in the new pvp mode I’ve sunk Reaper ships hoarding Athena flags but most people don’t bother sailing all the way to reapers hideout to sell them due to missing out on that bonus by selling it with a level 5 emissary.
We should be able to turn them in to the mysterious stranger as a respect for our fallen comrades. Hopefully with the new update when we are matched with the same faction we have that ability.

As Reaper's players go and sell them and a huge waste of time and more risk of having a defense spawn.
More than once I wanted to go sell them but seeing that I don't have the wind or that I'm in the Devil's or just north of Smuggler's I have to go and remove my PvP at Sanctuary or Morrow Peak to be sure to be able to sell it safely.
I'm not 75 in Reaper's and very far from 100 allegiance and recently I discovered on an Athena stream that when you sell Reaper's Flags with the PvP-mode activated you gain allegiance.
I would really like to sell them for my levels but having 20 minutes of travel is really annoying, even more so when I'm low in resources I take even more risk of being attacked because I'm visible all over the map...
The Reaper's faction really needs several changes in my opinion like removing the visibility of the Reaper's Flag on the map and having more Reaper's outposts. (Which may help to prevent all the emissaries on the map from disconnecting or removing their flags, even as Reaper's-main since this Update I had already noticed this behavior for a very long time)
@the-papa-lox I agree you should be able to return the flags to the trading companies for a small reward
I mean they could add a new dialogue for it where instead of seeing it as selling your enemy’s flag… the game implies you are returning the valuable flag back to the company so they can reuse it or something. Then you’d get a little rep for being so helpful to return lost flags, or however they want to word it.
