I would love to see a way to raise captaincy on an non captained ship, maybe through a voting table by the the Sovereign and Reaper.
Losing Captaincy
At the very least, I'd like to see a way for ships that WERE Captained maintain their Captaincy status through some kind of voting system. That way if the Captain loses connection or needs to go eat dinner, the crew can still do voyages, can still sell at the Sovereigns, etc. The ship can still live on through the other players and earn its milestones, but the original Captain will of course have some catching up to do.
I also wish they’d introduce a way to at least vote for a new captain instead of having to start a new session completely if your captain loses power/internet, has an emergency, or just needs to leave before everyone is done with their adventure. Yes it might cause some conflict in the crew to decide who is the captain, but it’s the same conflict that exists already deciding whose ship the crew is playing on that day. So it doesn’t actually introduce a new problem, but it solves the current problem of having to abandon a voyage and supplies to start a new ship, and also not getting credit for selling the loot you already had on board before you leave your newly uncaptained ship.

Tbh i can understand why it comes up, but i dont want anyone else take captaincy over my ship after i lost connection or logged of... its MY Ship so actually it would be the best that when i log off, everyone is logged off here...
The ultimate troll. As your crewmates are about to turn in their 1st ever box of secrets or kill their 1st ever shrouded ghost, you disconnect, which also kicks them, and nobody wins.
@glitchhypnotoad my main gripe... Will damage carry over once your not there and who has responsibility to pay for repairs etc?
@galactic-geek
Nothing to do with trolling, in case of a disconnection you have the small amount of time to return in which the crew stays connected... but if you dont want to return or want to knock of for the night its more then right that they cannot use Your ship any longer... i mean its MY Ship... i pay for it@piratelord-scar said in Losing Captaincy:

@galactic-geek you can sit on them now with a well placed stool😁☠️
I'm confused. Are you sure you're in the right thread?
@galactic-geek yep you can sit on the cannons by placing a stool right in top, thereby blocking someones view

Oh no... 🙅♂️🤦♂️
Rare, fix this! 👨🔧@burnbacon I don't want a new captain to continue on someone else's purchased ship. When the captain leaves, or if a member joins who owns their own captained ship, the remaining crew should be allowed to vote that the ship change into another one of the remaining crew's captained ships. They decide who's ship of the same class (sloop to sloop, brig to brig) to turn it into by voting on a table, like the unused one at the sovereign. You have to own a ship of the same class to put down your captaincy contract on the table, like a voyage. Multiple players could put down their contract, and the one that gets majority, the ship becomes the purchased and saved ship of that player.
