Hopefully they’re working on the words they watch for when it comes to ship names. Let’s continue to sink those that use hate speech!
I would coordinate with others that are concerned about this and contact support to voice the view with examples/evidence if possible.
In a shared experience online with people being able to be sneaky about things this is likely going to be an ongoing thing for a long time. All people can do is support what they support and report what they feel warrants reporting, and go through support when it's necessary imo.
If you see a Ship Name that you feel is inappropriate, you can submit a Support Ticket.
There is a specific category for Ship Name Report in the drop-down menu.
@wolfmanbush, I agree with you. And I’m sure Rare is aware of people using workarounds. Just hope they keep working on strengthening whatever code/tools they use to catch them.
Just raising awareness.
Perhaps my rallying cry at the end should have been for reporting instead of sinking :/
Don’t sink to their level with a toxic response. Just report and move on.
If you believe ships with toxic names should be reported, make sure to screenshot pages with ship name and gamertag and send to Rare.

I can understand that but like said earlier some words are blocked like rum (if it's true i didn't test) and nobody knows why. Sorry but block "rum" in a pirate game... it's a bit stange no ?

I need to tag someone the forum won't let me because his name is considered obscene but in translation to English it means cowboy.

If you see a questionable ship name submit the shipname ticket so they can review it.
I'd say do the opposite too. Explain your usage. I'd bet I can't name my ship Vodka Princess or Beer ( starts with a W... I understand 😆) But ship purchases is glitchy for me right now and I'd rather not lose that name I can't say on the forums 😁
Rum Runner would be a cool ship's name.

So...Rum is the title of my brand new sloop on my secondary account. But it rejected Rum Runner. 😕 Filters are amazing guys. 👏
For science I dismantled Rum and was able to get Runner as my ship name. I dismantled Runner and tried Rum Runner again, also The Rum Runner... NOT SUITABLE...
