@ottyman8687 Yeah, I just hate sore losers. I always fight regardless of how much loot I have and I believe that is the true spirit of the game and how it was intended to be played and it always saddens me to see people get so petty over pixels.
Red Sea should insta delete ships and loot
@cinnumann Because you ran to the red sea which as otty pointed out is an informal surrender. Meaning you forfeit the battle because you knew you wouldn't win. Which is also known as a loss.
@ottyman8687
So you have an issue with people doing what they want in open world adventure game? Bro maybe you should go into Battle Royal type of games.@cptnpotbeard
So you won by chasing them into red sea. No one gets anything. What is the problem then?@cinnumann No because I still recover the loot when people run to the red. I just think your idea of it instantly deleting the loot is petty and childish and should never be added. Also sounds like you probably don't belong in SoT if you can't handle pvp.

@cptnpotbeard
My idea saves time. You can fix ship till it reaches delete wall.
Please dont make assumptions like that. Im perfectly capable of having PvP fights and I have won a lot as solo slooper.@cptnpotbeard
If you want winners and losers maybe SoT aint game for you. This is open world adventure game.@cinnumann No it's a shared world pirate game. Big difference. And clearly I'm the one playing the game to the fullest considering I actually exhibit the spirit of piracy when I play. So gin. Maybe go back to mine craft or roblox for some peaceful grinding since having to share your world with pvpers clearly isn't for you.

I don't see why you are go so personal with this. You don't know me or the way I play this game. SoT is open world PvPvE Pirate adventure game and I have always enjoyed it. I will go to other game when I grow bored of one. In SoT I enjoy PvP I enjoy PvE occasionally. All I wanted to say is to get people practice more the approach in piracy and maybe give up on endless chasing.

Ok I'm going to try and make some progress in this argument.
WE WANT A FIGHT.
That's it. That's literally it. The loot is borderline irrelevant and I only want it to raise my Emissary Grade or something.
Tell us to improve approach, etc. That isn't the issue. If I want your loot, I hide the ship swim over and tuck.
But we want a FIGHT. Not just an obliteration.
This is also why I believe things to encourage PvPers to get some valuable loot on board to fight.
A clash of two ships, each with loot fighting for it is what this game was supposed to be.
My "approach" is irrelevant. Because that doesn't get me a fight. That just makes it easier to roll up and sink an unsuspecting crew. And it's boring.
And it gets even worse when a ship with loot in board just turns tail and runs.
We want to ENCOURAGE not FORCE fighting back. And making RedSea running easier does the exact opposite.

Loot should also insta disappear. There would be no point to red sea otherwise.How about keeping people from leaving the map..?
@ottyman8687
There is already mechanic to scuttle to deny the fight. Red sea is just deny fight after chase. I'm sorry that you dont get the PvP experience you want. It is PvPvE adventure game not battle royal.@ottyman8687 said in Red Sea should insta delete ships and loot:

How? There has to be somekind of mechanic to limit the coded playing area.

Loot should also insta disappear. There would be no point to red sea otherwise.The goal appears to be to deny loot to the chasers, which is fine, do whatever you want with the loot you currently have on board. You have to be successful at it though, go far enough for them not to be able to get it then. Earn your deny.

Everyone needs a "chance" to retrieve loot.
This. People don't get to destroy loot just because they are salty someone else will be getting it.
What next, an auto cash-in for your whole haul if you reach the dock of an outpost?@bloodybil
You have all the chances in world to take the loot. Sink the ship and take. It is ridiculous to think you deserve the loot when you fail to sink someone.@cinnumann said in Red Sea should insta delete ships and loot:

It is ridiculous to think you deserve the loot when you fail to sink someone.Nobody deserves anything, you have all the chances it the world to hide it or to dump it if you get far enough of their reach in the red sea. You don't deserve to delete it. If people manage to retrieve it, they deserve it. You just ask to move the goal post further because you apparently failed to deny loot to a crew properly, and didn't get the satisfaction from it.
Someone didn't manage to catch up another crew? They don't deserve the loot.
Someone didn't manage to escape another crew? They don't deserve to choose what happens to the loot.@bloodybil said in Red Sea should insta delete ships and loot:

I want to make you work for it without fighting. This is the way I fight. I want to tie you up fishing loot out of the red and drain your supplies.

You surrendered.
Here is Google's definition of surrender:
give up or hand over (a person, right, or possession), typically on compulsion or demand.
You admitted defeat which means the opposition wins automatically. It's not ridiculous that I expect to get your loot. It's how winning and losing works.
If you don't want me to have your loot, then you need to win. But currently you aren't doing that and you are surrendering. Which means I win automatically.

And that's perfectly fair, people are free to be as persistent as they want, whether to chase people and fish up loot, or to run away and try to deny it to others. In both cases, they simply need to earn it and succeed. If someone wants loot removed from the game, either sell it or guard it until it sinks.
