I have been waiting for this bad boy for a while, and the experience is stunning, but their is a glaring issue I and others have notice. There needs to be more Athena loot! I’m done getting regular GH or OoS stuff, I want every single loot piece to be Athena! It fare since we have to go to 30 now. The ship graveyard needs a lot more Athena lot spread out in it while the Grims Fortune gets a ton of loot. The final loot pile is fine, but the ghost chest amount should be decreased and a increase in normal collectors crates full of Athena items should me increased. DO NOT NERF THIS VOYAGE. It is perfect with the Athena emissary level which this voyage deserves. But please do what I have suggest, add more Athena loot devs! Please and thank you. Also the anchor on the Killer Whale is not centered.

It's a quicker and easier experience and there is going to be a lot of athena loot floating around for months to come.
Definitely don't nerf anything but also don't buff imo.
High grade flags and emissary quests are gonna be a thing now, it'll get loot circulating and make pretty significant athena hauls more session realistic. Just let this ride out for a while without tinkering imo. Not a fan of tinkering unless absolutely necessary to address major issues/concerns, let things settle and settle in and see what happens.

If there was more athena loot, LotV would be even farther above other ways to get AF reputation. Keep in mind, if you're good at PvE, this voyage shouldn't take you more than an hour. Rare put ghost loot in so that the voyage would give a lot of gold without ruining all other athena voyages.
I'm grateful for it the way it is, because previously every athena emissary session required 3 hours if you wanted to get the most loot (Athena's Run(s), emissary quest, get back to 5, emissary quest, quit). With those ways, you'd need to play Athena's Runs to "buy in" to being able to do emissary voyages multiple times. Now, LotV gets you to 5 all by itself. The utility this brings allows for smaller AF sessions. Previously, I could only do AF missions on weekends because it would always take too long. Now, athena sessions can be as short as an hour.
Also, keep in mind the Skull of Athena's Blessing and the Athena's Relic sell for around 3500, which is on the lower end of an Athena Keg! So, even if it seems like there isn't much athena loot, just remember that the loot you got actually represents a large hoard of other athena items.
Let's use an example: Frequently, when finishing a Sudds quest, I get 2 Athena's Relics in the chest. That's ~7000 gold! If we assume that average gold = reputation (which is generally true), then those Athena's Relics could equal 11 chalices, or 5 Gilded relics, or even a Chest of Legends (the Chest of Legends got a gold buff for LotV, but the reputation didn't change, so we can compare our Relics to old Chests of Legends, which ranged from 4,000-7,000).
So, if Rare hadn't made the new Athena items to sell, than LotV would have had a lot of chests full of athena trinkets and no one would have complained about the loot in the voyage. With the new trinkets, we have:- Less to pick up from every step of the voyage
- New commendations to complete
So, again, I think the loot in LotV is perfect. It may not seem like much, but when you look at the actual value of the athena items and the time you spend on the voyage, it is right where it should be.
@grumpyw01f I can see your point and thank you for your point of view. It has only taken me maybe 5 or 6 LotV’s to almost get to 21, so I can see that. Maybe I also over exaggerated with the Athena loot amount. I’m thinking maybe another villainous Athena skull, maybe another Athena jar, and two more dark ritual Athena skulls (I’m still learning the names, I just call them these names because that’s what they are basically). Just one extra collectors chest full of the two new skulls and the only one jar honestly would be good. I personally want to see an Athena overhaul that updates the faction, getting rid of the old Athena voyages and replace them with ones mirroring the main factions, but with a more story driven twist. I’m working on a update idea for this. But like I was saying, thank you for your opinion.

After doing some grinding for Athena, I believe there absolutely no need for more Buff or nerf.
You can easily stack yourself multiple Athena emissary voyages for reaching grade 5 if done right and in larger crew.
the risk and reward is fairly balanced and might be the best way to earn gold but obviously people can see what you are doing across the sea with that veil tornado.
Levelling up from 20 to 30 is still a grind and a challenge even after all the stacked emissary voyages and veil voyages I mentioned earlier will only earn you a scratch on the rank.
