Extreme/Alternate Weather Style Additions?

    TL;DR Extreme weather additions that are more than current? I.E. Gigantic waves that can knock players off boat similar to megalodon, water spouts or water tornados that can lift and throw a ship, or water whirlpools that can suck ships in. Discuss extent of damage or effects on ship.

    Watching new shows like Vikings:Valhalla has spurred my inner pirate. Are we not pirates? Are we not supposed to be MASTERS of the sea? What is more masterful of the sea than to overcome the very nature of the sea itself?!

    I would love additional effects to play around mid-fight or to venture through to add another piece to how the world breathes. I hope others, especially the creators, feel the same and don't just see this as an annoyance to deal with.

    Too difficult to implement naturally, as servers already have trouble with the current waves. Might work for a tall tale however

    I'd actually like to see the potential for less intense weather - the Storm in my opinion does a good job for being the intense weather in a game of this style.

    But having a brief rain shower outside of the Storm from time to time would be refreshing. Get to see some of that weather without having the increased sailing complications as well as just a nice surprise for atmosphere. I could also stand to see the Fog be more frequent in showing up as I feel like I rarely see it.

    That would be epic, what if the waves were able to pull your pirate under water and drown you for a short period of time as you attempted to get back to your ship. It should do the same amount of damage a kraken does to your hull which would give pirates incentive to not be broadside by the waves and to instead go at them bow first.

    @RedEyeSith I may not enjoy this answer.... but I understand it. I enjoy the fog a lot! Another reason I wished for more weather. To feel the mastery if the weather as I overtake a foe beyond direct action. Perhaps there is less turbulent forms weather to be discussed that can offer what I search and meet what players of a like mind to yourself search for? (I still want some water spouts or whirlpools though :] )

    @Avacadobeard244 Beard244 I am happy to see at least 1 so far meet me halfway! :D I understand this is a game for the whole community so I am looking for more traction. I can only hope more of us feel the same OR can find other ways to make the world breathe in a more diverse way; specifically weather.

    @k4nk1ew33d i love spitballing ideas and hearing other people's ideas regardless of whether or not those ideas would work. I think it's safe to say that weather probably isn't Rares priority but it's still an epic thought
