The concept is simple, be able to open, close, and lock you captain's cabin and brig. you could lock and unlock doors on you ship and others in an alliance. this would bring a new dynamic to tucking and theft of chest. There would just be a new interact button with F to open/close and R to lock and unlock. Part 2 the balance, new stealth options would be available like the lockpick used to unlock doors and of course kegs n cannons, if you can't pick someone's lock just sink them their ship will despawn and the loot is yours.
Lock your doors!
this would bring a new dynamic to tucking and theft of chest
Or trolls who lock newbie doors with there loot and keep it so. And sloop has no door to lock so it only be for the galleon. Sorta not fair if you never play on a galleon
And I’m sorry. I’m always against any for of adding dynamic to tucking. It a fine thing to do but shouldn’t be improved on or add more stuff
@tek-lt For the brigantine I also had small ship changes in mind like the back area with the bed having a door which could also be locked. In the case of the sloop if someone even thinks of a tucker your cover is already blown.
@norrington4010 That’s not how that works. You can shoot off one hinge and kick the door off because of it. The lock won’t do anything when there are no hinges.
Take modern day, we have shotguns. These shotguns can be used to breach a room. Shoot of one of both of the hinges and you’re in! Considering the power behind the blunder, I should only need one shot.@norrington4010 said in Lock your doors!:
@scurvywoof you could also pick the lock or sink the ship
True, but that’s lame! I have always opted for going loud when I can in CoS stealth missions, so long as it doesn’t fail the mission.
Ahoy @norrington4010 !
Bumping old threads goes against the Forum rules. I will be dropping anchor here.
Thanks!
