The Treasury Vault masters are quite the underwhelming foes.

  • Slight spoiler ahead for those who hasn’t done the new treasuries.

The Vault masters is far too easy especially if you fighting them in a smaller crew, the bosses designs is very unoriginal and boring as it just reusing one of the three ocean crawlers or one of the sirens as the boss.

I would love to see the Devs at some point come back to the treasury much like the skeleton forts and rework the boss wave to add slightly more challenging foes.

    Few boss ideas

When it’s the final wave and the water is drained you will be fighting the Colossus Crawlers! (a huge Frankenstein Ocean crawler that contain the many abilities from the 3 crawlers)

What the Colossus Crawler might look like

The Colossus will have similar designs by having the body of the Crab, a head of the Hermit and has many holes where many electric eels hides and help protect it master like the eel-ectric and in it chest will have the three siren gems with corresponding colours to the three crawlers suggesting this is truly a Frankenstein monster designed solely to protect the sirens hoards.

    The Colossus abilities and weakness

    • Can go underground much like the Hermit and can breath out rotten green gas.

    • Has a powerful attack much like the Crab with its huge devastating crab arm and provide coral protection like Crab special ability

*Can form a electric protection around itself to force pirates to use range weapons unless they rather get zapped and then possibly get crushed underneath it huge crab arm, so it’s recommended they take out the eels so they don’t get zapped whenever they slash the beast with a cutlass.

The boss is weak to the cutlasses and powder kegs, anything else that is used against the boss get reduced damage.

When it’s the final wave and the room is full with water the Siren Guardian is released! (A Highly trained and respected large siren leader)

What the Siren guardian might look like

It’s a large siren leader containing the ruby siren gem in its chest and has ship parts as his armour.

The Siren Guardian ability and weakness

*The boss can summon in more Sirens, the larger the crew size the more that come to aid the guardian

*When the boss health is low, it will begin to heal much like the siren Queen

The boss is weak against guns and trident, anything else will either be blocked like sword attack or receive reduced damages.

Thanks for listening in on my bad idea/ suggestions on what could be done to make the treasury bit more epic and less anti climax especially while listening to “The Sunken Warpath” music that is used for the final wave.

  • The treasuries and enemies themselves are fine. The difficulty which isn’t too high is represented in the loot. The single thing that would be cool is for the final boss crawler or siren to have a unique design rather than just a red name to distinguish them.

  • too easy especially if you fighting them in a smaller crew

As it suppose to be. :p.

  • I think they hit the mark of not only what they were aiming for but what I think was the right thing to be aiming at

casual play, solo friendly, some risk some reward but mostly just something pretty to enjoy like a mini tall tale

this is something pvers can enjoy and the new mermaid feature really helps people get to enjoy the pve/pvp environment and content without it being too intense

we have world events for more difficulty I'd like to see the new content stay where it is because it allows people to dip their toes in some excitement and adventure without requiring a deep dive into risk/reward/difficult

  • Yeah, Rare has never been one for creative bosses. Every skeleton lord is the same. Every ashen lord is the same. Make em bigger and give them more health. Bullet sponges aren't fun gameplay.

  • I'm more concerned with the fact that most shrines and treasuries hold cannonballs, planks and throwables, rather than actual food which would be useful down there.

I solo'd one last night whilst my crew fended off a couple of ships (we had one key left for the curse) and I died three times before no barrel had food in it.

  • I think making these things take any longer will just lead to them being empty after most people get the treasure commendation. You're already away from your ship for 10-15 minutes with the way they are currently set up.

Making them harder or take longer is just going to make them less desirable.

  • @butterfinger750
It is a bit weird how easy the vaultmaster is to defeat, but I don't want to be underwater for any longer than I have to. So I'll take what I can get.

Though I would like some actually interesting bosses in the future. Maybe your Colossus crawler could have weak spots that you have to shoot rather than being a damage sponge?

  • I just want the battle to last a little longer so I can hear the full length of the battle music track when the captain comes out!

The slowed down rendition of the main theme is awesome!

  • @musicmee
    True XD

I have only heard the song on youtube because the final wave goes by so fast

  • @musicmee how about a unique looking boss though? Currently we have either a crawler or siren with a red name and more health.

  • @illbushido305 Oh for sure, if it doesn't take too much development time up.

Like I said to @ButterFinger750 on Twitter... Corralmarrow... you mark my words 😂

  • @musicmee or instead of fighting just swim around and waste time listening to the music.

Everything is fine the way it is we don't need to be down there for 30 min, it's not a jam session.

That's genius. It's like the Coral Gold Hoarder. Rare should keep recycling Graymarrow in unique ways, make it a running joke.

  • @musicmee Ghost of Coralmarrow??

  • A fishy Graymarrow, surely that's Grayminnow? A tiny little fish enemy with Graymarrow's voice pitched up would be hilarious. Despite his size, he'd still be a complete bullet sponge.

  • Every wave is a bit too easy and the waiting time between waves is a bit too long. The first time I was doing a treasury I said the boss had better not be the siren queen . . .
The underwater bits are tedious due to the slow movement, and I'd much prefer the crawler boss that you suggest.

  • @realstyli Like catching a trophy fish on steroids.

  • Alright, hear me out. Take the ceiling of the Treasury and remove the stone roof. Replace it with a bubble wall that you can see but not pass through. You can see your ship from below while in the treasury.

Then, on the Final Wave, a Kraken or meg, etc. can poke it's head inside and act as a final boss with unique attacks.

  • @illbushido305

Grade V: Defeat the Legendary Ashen Shipwrecked Gilded Ghost of Coralmarrow 5 times as a Pirate Legend in an Alliance with a Stronghold Gunpowder Barrel with another crew present at the same time, 20 times, while flying the Gold Hoarders Emissary Flag
