  • Why are those players not punished?

because this is a fantasy pirate game for the family and not The Running Man

  • Who cares if other crews rage quit though? You get their loot, plus time to siphon their resources. It's not like it would be a good fight anyway.

  • That the worst idea I ever heard be suggested.
Why should they get punished even more for being too frustrated and rage quitting which happens to everyone in once and while, Especially after sinking and losing your loot.

It not like you lose anything if they ragequit, it just mean they won’t be coming back for revenge and you got free loots :D

  • We all have experienced it. You attacked a crew and they instantly disconnected. Why are those players not punished?

Are we making a troll joke post? Serious I’ve seen some funny threads with requested features but dude. XD

    If your serious.

    1. do you lose anything when someone leaves?
    2. does your session restart?
    3. does it affect your overall gameplay?

If no to any of these. Why punish someone for quitting when they know they lost? Maybe (some do) they made a deal to sail around and if they ever sink or die they have to join a new server

Also. Haha. If they ever punish those who quit. They have to punish those who attack players on tall tales or have no loot. :p XD

  • This is a terrible idea. So they quit? What did you lose? It isn’t like they just undermined your K/D stats or anything. You aggressed on them. They don’t owe you a fight any more than you owed them peace. They decided they were not interested and scuttled or left to do something else. You get the loot (if there was any). Learn to recognize when someone has submitted and accept your victory with grace.

  • @thewithdom "Other people don't play the game the way I like it, therefore they should be punished" seems a bit weird don't you think?

  • I really don't get how this is a problem? Like some people just really don't want to fight, and they should be free to leave if they want, even if it is a little silly to just give up without a fight.

Plus even if they did implement a punishment, people would just find a way around it by disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet to spoof a bad connection.

Honestly it's quite nice sometimes when people kindly save you from using your supplies and just give you free loot.

  • Why should I get punished for not wanting PvP? Take the loot with 0 effort and GG.

  • @thewithdom
Yeah, I don't require the satisfaction of victory or the need to establish dominance from every interaction I have with other players. Some people are going to play this game differently than me, unless a player is going out of their way to harm the game itself no one should be punished for how they play

Not to mention that it's a massive time-saver. I came upon a RBE lvl. 2 sloop at the RBH while carring a RB and thought I'd have to put up a fight - I prepared my best food, a full set of blunderbombs, restocked my ammo, and even bit an earthworm to ready a nasty surprise for them in my bucket.

And they scuttled with nary a word.

It was fast, easy, got me a free bounty, a free emmisary flag, and no wasted supplies. What's not to like!?

  • Sometimes when I sink I leave the game in a hurry, Gotta get the kids to bed, school pickups dinner, parential things. I come in like "I got X amount of time and the I gotta go". We might finish a session and sail over to sink someone only to be sunk ourselves. No problems but I gotta go, turns off xbox without closing game off, etc. Who cares?

we need some good one liners to add to the chat wheel

  • So in essence scuttling would be punishable? The only difference is the player is moved to a different area of the map or simply off the server entirely. A win is a win, unless you are spawn camping for no reason other than to ruin someone else's session which is where the punishment should come into play.

  • Why do you care? Do you want them to stay so you can mock them? Sounds like you are a toxic player.

What do you win from them staying? Nothing unless you are toxic.

  • Others have already covered it but I just find this hilarious. Some people take the game far too seriously. At the end of the day, it's a playful sandbox adventure game not a competitive shooter.

  • This game can be really frustrating, like War Thunder. It's addicting but has many bugs, and can really put someone in a sour mood. They shouldn't be punished for being angry, it's natural. This makes you sound more toxic than anything else, no offense.
Plus, it's free loot. It gives you time to take their supplies, especially those well needed chain-shots and blunder bombs. You might've wanted a fight, but some people don't, and they shouldn't be punished for leaving.
Just the other day, my friend and I were fighting about 6 different brigs altogether. The final two brigs ganged up on us. One of them were sweaty naval players who took down our mast, the others toxic tdm'ers called us the well known P word for running, even though we had no cannonballs. After a while, they began spawn camping us, 3v2, all very sweaty. So, me and my friend left. I actually found out one of the brigs was a streamer crew and the other was teaming up with them because, why not? Anyway, why should I be punished for leaving a spawn camp? It's not a very good idea. Keep safe.
