Blunder bomb the ground under you just before you land. Gives you MUCH less damage and saves you from dying if you jumped from high enough.

Depends on how you fall. But gal damage is very less likely to kill you unless it’s your fault.

Sometimes landing on rocks at certain angles will negate any fall damage. But I’ve found it’s more luck based than skill based

This is the best way I've found. I also have an easy way to practice:

Next time you spawn in at Galleon's Grave, climb to the very top and jump off. This fall is high enough that it'll be instant death from full health, so there will be no question that you did it correctly if you survive with no broken ankles.
