Sea of thieves terrible FPS drop (To 6 fps)

    Hi guys,

    So, I'm relatively new to sea of thieves, and I have come across some major problems, even though I am over the recommended components to run the game.
    When I load into the game, the menu is so incredibly laggy, every time. My FPS would be around 8-9.
    Then, when I launched the game, I would get terrible FPS dropped to 6fps every 10 - 15 minutes, which would last for about 2 minutes unless I alt-tabbed and it would go back to normal FPS range. I have lowered the graphics and video settings to the lowest possible, and this is still happening.

    I have been searching google, Microsoft forums, and here, but to no avail.

    Please can anyone assist me?

    My Specs:
    Intel i5 4670k
    AMD RX580
    16gig 1600mhz DDR 3
    The game is installed on an SSD.
    All my drivers are up-to-date
    All background programs are closed.

    @fuzionpete I forgot to mention. I have also done a fresh uninstall, and re-install, but to no avail, either.

    @fuzionpete You may need to tell Windows OS to launch SoT in High Performance - sounds like the game is using your integrated GPU.

    I am having very similar issues. I found that this only happens when I am moving my mouse and am in either the menus or accessing a barrel. When I switch to controller I have absolutely no issues. I cleared a Fort no problem and the only fps drops where accessing barrels. I can't get my head around it especially when everything is fine when I use controller? I posted a video of the problem on the sea of thieves reddit.

    i have the same problems.. since the latest Nvidia driver update
    my frames are normaly 130+ and now the drop to under 10 frames

    r7 3700x
    32Gb Ram
    OS and Game is on two ssd´s
    rtx 3060ti

    other games are working fine
    cyperpunk,doom eternal,assasins creed.... etc
