If it would be monkey island, perhaps, taking a cue from rayman, have it transform to 16bit graphics while on the island..

@tre-oni I agree with this. I think the SoT standalone universe is interesting and strong enough by itself that it doesn't need to mix with other universes further.

@lethality1 Same! Monkey Island would be perfect as there are already refrences to it in game. I've actually named one of my parrots "Guybrush" and the Skeleton Parrot "LeChuck" so I've been waiting for this for awhile now!!
I'm going to go with "Sinbad the 7th voyage" here. I think SOT is closer to the Sinbad pirate story than any other so adding bosses like a cyclops fits in real nicely. The lore would be a very easy blend to boot. Imagine a dragon wreaking terror on your ship? A crossbow fitted on your ship. The cyclops and much much more.

Some crossovers were fun, but I don't want to see SoT losing it's unique personality.
I think a small Blackbeard tall tale could fit. The story could be that Blackbeard finds the sea of thieves and tried to conquer it but you and your crew have to stop him. Rare could add his burning beard and the queen Anne's revenge. It would be fun for us to hunt down a notorious pirate and rare would make money off of the queen Anne's revenge and Blackbeard's outfit.

It's more than an Easter Egg. Its a whole story of the possibility of Guybrush and co in the Sea of Thieves
We've had small nods to other stories within the game and with PoTC largely adopting
canonical characters and plot points what else could the other stories bring without overwriting what i thought was an amazing story and chapter to the game. im more excited to see what else they can do with the franchise instead of trying to cram other stuff into it.
