Request: Get your SOT partners inline

  • in another post, I've deemed that x cancelling, loot juggling, dpi switching, etc are exploits. during drops I watched multiple SOT partnered streams use these glitches. how can you support streamers that use exploits in your game? I watched prominent SOT Partners each one used the loot juggling, and x cancelling exploits to get advantages against your community.

this exploitation needs to stop, please, especially by players that you sponser via twitch.

I can't be the only one who's getting tired of this. they're setting a bad example imo.

    loot juggling is ok

  • why make a stink about such trivial things

as long as they aren't doing the major exploits that are harming other's gameplay and the environment and as long as they aren't making personal attacks while pirating let them and their audience figure it out without being micro managed.

There are major ones? Please do tell O_o

  • Rare is selective about which exploits they care about.

They don’t care much about loot juggling or quick digging because they’re PvE exploits and just make things quicker.

Pvp exploits like dpi switching on the other hand, rare takes more seriously. Dpi switch on pc literally just happens by moving your mouse too fast, intentionally most of the time but it can happen unintentionally. Either way it’s a bannable offense, clipping someone and reporting them to rare will earn them a temporary ban.

Now like I said, rare is selective about what’s bannable depending on the case. They haven’t released any list of bannable exploits so it’s best to just not do any exploits in the mist of PvP.

  • I agree with loot juggling on land as being a exploit although it doesn't affect that much.

As well as the bucket bailing animation canceling.

If they patched doubling gunning way back then at the minimum the bucket animation cancel is a exploit for canceling a animation.

Just bail out the grate. That's why it's there.

You shouldn't name people like that in posts like this btw.
    borderline witch hunting imo

Things get patched if it's deemed a issue till it is I guess we all have to evolve wether we like it or not

  • You have been triggered by loot sprinting and x bucket?

YOU deemed them as exploits so it gives you the right to name people on a forum post?

How are you getting tired of people loot sprinting and x bucket water xD I play this game every day almost since release, and not once have I logged off and said "I really wish RARE would patch out loot sprinting" LOL!!

Cmon this had to be a troll or some sort of bait post!? xD

    If so GG lol.

  • Only one that is an issue out of these is the dpi spin rest just help the game feel less clunky

I've watched a sot partnered streamer loot juggle a mega keg in the water, catch a ship, that they would have otherwise missed if they didn't loot juggle.

I'm tired of these guys 'representing' sea of thieves... and the majority exploit every stream.
    .

  • now I'm starting to run into 'normal' people on the seas using these tactics.. and I just want to know is it ok to use these exploits.. that's all. I don't want an advantage because I can loot juggle a keg thru the water at an unintended speed. or that I can x cancel bucket to save my ship. or I can finish a quest faster to leave an island quicker because I used fast dig x cancelling..

  • I've seen competitive arenas where in the rule list it said no loot juggling, no fast dig, no dpi switching... they obviously see these glitches as unfair advantages.. why does the rest of the community not have this fairness...

  • I just want an even playing field. especially with an influx of players coming on the 22nd. is that so much to ask... note I had to break my post up, because the submit button doesn't work on longer posts.

    ok I'll remove their names.

I watched a guy loot juggling a keg towards me in a recent fight... and it triggered me.. then twitch drops hit and I saw almost every single partner winning pvp fights because they loot juggled kegs to enemy vessels that they would otherwise have missed. just tired of the exploitation of a great game .. especially by those who are supposed to represent the community.

  • @treefittymonsta So you watched a guy loot sprint a keg to your boat?

Why didnt you shoot it? Turn your ship? Move clear of the ladder and throw a blunder/fire bomb.

If you was sunk by someone you saw loot swimming a keg to your ship then you maybe want to work on better evasive/defence tactics.

I play solo often, and being able to loot sprint and x bucket makes it far more free flowing and quicker to get stuff done. Not to mention it helps to no end when i face off against bigger crews.

I will give it to you. You must never have hit reg issues to suggest shooting a keg that is both floating upwards and back in the players hands back and forth over 1 second spans.

Also super bucketing is absolutely busted in terms of ship balance. A partner of mine in arena did it the other week and kept us afloat with 11 holes! Until he was killed, we were taking fire from 3 other ships without them able to even get us close to sinking.

I wasn't sunk. but it was troubling to see him using loot juggling to move so quickly thru the water.

and u freely admit, u exploit to 'move quickly thru the water'.. you're part of the problem.

  • @treefittymonsta Rare recently stated in the partner discord that no partner should showcase exploits on stream, whether they reinforce this sentiment is another story...

yep. i saw a high viewer count sot partner do the same. I called him out on it. and his mods timed me out in chat. rare needs to draw a line. because they are about to have a huge influx of players. and their representatives on twitch are exploiting out of their minds.

  • @bizi-betiko if u have a link u would be my hero. I would love to share this link when I see sot partners use these exploits.

another exploit has just been brought to my attention. ladder F spamming, I've seen streamers do this but didn't realize.. apparently u get temporary invulnerability from this.

  • @treefittymonsta I can't be the only one tired of looking at your third post on the topic since it hasn't gained traction the past two times.

If they were such a big problem, they'd be fixed by now. You've heard this already, stop trying. Rare does not have an opinion on them, as they havent given one in the past 3 years. The community does, however. And the vast majority supports these harmless exploits that anyone can perform.

Stop flooding the forums with the same thing, please.

    @treefittymonsta.

Stop flooding the forums with the same thing, please.

three topics over ten hours are hardly flooding the forums imo.

first post was my concerns about shroud breaker exploit.. which during discussion was deemed not an exploit. my second post was about exploits in general and what was an exploit.

this post is about sot partners not representing the game properly by using said exploits. three different topics, so three different posts. thanks for ur concern though.

  • @treefittymonsta they're all the same topic- you stomping your feet and acting as if you're so high-n-mighty by refusing to do things that literally everyone does, and have never gotten in any sort of trouble for, under the guise of "I want Rare's answer on it". They don't care about players doing these age-old tricks to improve their skillful play. Stop posting about it.

  • Ahoy!

Making multiple posts on the same topic goes against the Forum rules.
