Was anybody else disappointed in how ugly the mermaids are? When I heard there was mermaids I thought they would be like Ariel from the little mermaid. Instead we got sea monkey people. Does anyone else want hot mermaids?

also is it just me or is Larinna the hottest NPC we've had yet?Umbra ain't bad either but Larinna hits different.
There is a chick in Arther Pendragons crew that is the hottest NPC I had seen in game. A statuesque dreadlocked Valkyrie in halter top, capri pants and mercenary boots
Unfortunately she is already a ghost at the end of the Tall Tale.
Back on topic, since the merfolk are a sea based sentient alien being, why do they have to be sexually attractive to be better accepted?
How do you think they feel about uncouth, wonky-looking, boisterous pirates falling off thier insipid wooden boats and urinating in their ocean?

Well the face-ache theme of Sea of Thieves is pretty obvious.
Not that much immersion breaking in that regard to me.
Merfolk is supposed to look tempting though in that case there is no denying it.But I would be happy already with more variety.
That one male/female model alone feels very boring even if we look at them only for like a few seconds most of the time.
Definitely a payoff though since the playerbase is bound to stare at them most regularly.
