Never going to happen. At best, you'll get a private server option that you'll have to pay for, with limited options, and no actual advancement. Why do I think this? Because Rare has already stated as much and it's currently going through testing with their SoT partners.

Also, there's already a megathread for this discussion. You should be posting there.

  • get a rowboat sail to an area you want to explore then scuttle your ship and use the rowboat to bounce around islands

nobody is gonna bug you outside of just freak interactions

don't have any voyages down so the skellies will be easy and just explore all you want and row your treasures to an outpost

It's pretty fun. Sometimes I'll tuck my ship somewhere and just row around to see how long I last.

I like to do ashen winds that way solo. Sometimes I like to chase new players in their sloops just to mess with them while they take shots at me. Rowboat harpooning new player's sloops and getting towed behind just to give them a jump scare is all kinds of hilarious.

I like to tow behind skelly galleons too just to see where they take me

  • So you want a single player.

Guys please. Make the description of the game in huge bold print.

Open world, pvpe game style where you interact with other players.

  • Won't ever happen.

PvE players need to accept that PvP is part of the game, and learn to adapt instead of run to the forums when they screw up an encounter.

  • Ahoy maties!

As we have a very active Megathread on this very topic I will be dropping anchor here!

However, a few places you can sail on over to get involved in the discussions are:

You can also read the latest news on Custom/Private Servers here.

    See you on the seas!
