Why can't I just get struck by lightning?

    I've been playing since last June and the only flame of fate I have never been able to obtain is the white flame because, even though I've tried, I can't seem to die getting struck by lightning. I have lowered my health to red and circled around in a storm for a long time (20+ min) and still, no death by lightning! How can I achieve this most coveted way to die? Any tips?

    I just go up the the crow's nest and start swinging my sword and yell "Smite Me, O Mighty Smiter!" until I get hit

    Why can't I get struck? I have been in the storm for 40 minutes, been just driving while my crewmate is at low health in the crows, holding out his sword. Not only that, THE ASHEN CHEST'S DON'T GIVE RITUAL SKULLS JUST LEMME DO FOTD!!!

    First, this thread is 2 months old, necroing isn't allowed...second, ashen chests don't always give you a ritual skull, the only thing that gives you some for sure, is the ship raid...at least 4 you get there...skellie ships also give you one pretty often

    Shot I wish my buddy had your problem every time we get even close to a storm he get hit by lightning it’s pretty funny ....try getting low health wipe out your sword and stand on top of the crows nest that should do it

    go to an island where the storm is.

    leave your ship.

    draw your sword and stand in the open.

    count to five.

    get flame.
